a lot of bar soaps dry you out big time.

Hubby has that problem too, try switching to night time showers when your skin is slightly more protected by the day's sweat and oil. Also switch to a moisturizing shower gel, and a poof or loofah.

This is where being a little metrosexual works out - I have the same problem and switching to a shower gel is the way to go.

Bath and Body Works Woodland shower gel... buy it and a loofah. Or if you are uncomfortable going into B&BW I'm sure Wal*Mart or any place like that will have a shower gel that you'll like.

If switching to a moisturizing soap or shower gel doesn't seem to help, you might want to consider using some kind of lotion. Lubriderm is excellent, it does not leave a greasy residue and doesn't smell at all frou frou. The hubby uses it on his hands which get extremely dry.

shrug none of it feels or looks dry at all but ill try!

dry skin doesn't always look it, unless it is severly dry, the itching just sounds like normal dry skin caused by stringent soap.

It could also be an allergic reaction. Have you changed the soap or laundry detergent you use? I tend to think it's dry skin and not an allergic reaction as you would likely notice some redness or a rash if it were.

Nah, he's a brownie. You can generally see the dry skin :/ Ash skin = Racial hazard.
I bet it's a reaction to the soap.
