yup my thoughts exactly, and the other dude is actually Reno Wilson , black comdian/actor .... If it was so bad you would think he would have passed on the job.
.... why can't people learn from the past & present , instead of dwelling on it all the damn time :( People should stop looking for shit that is not there in others lives etc. and actually LIVE their own.

Some of my sons friends tried to get him caught up in that shit /rolleyes .. mofo you are HALF black .. learn history stop trying to fucking relive it .. I am sorry if i offend anyone but if we can't live and learn from past mistakes, misguided stereotypes and hate then how the fuck are supposed to evolve and become better persons .... heh

One of the twins' voices was done by the guy who does Spongebob..!! I think the whole racist thing is rediculous..

They tried it (racist/stereotyping complaints) with the various alien groups in the Star Wars prequels, too.

Saw it a second time. I have three weeks now to see it two more times before HP6 comes out :D

Just saw it - I really liked it. Not quite 9/10 for me, but it was very entertaining and lots of stuff blew up. I did not like the twins - I thought they were retarded, and that hollywood should have learned their lesson with Jar Jar Binks. I will say they were definitely acting gangster not hillbilly, but they visually looked more stereotypical hillbilly - take that for whatever you want I don't think the characters were intended to be racist in anyway, and if people want to associate gangster with race then that's their issue. Either way they were retarded and the only real blight on this movie. I guess I also was dissappointed in Devastator

Weird...my husband had a totally different reaction to the movie than pretty much every one here. He didn't care for it at all and he's a huge Transformers fan. Thought it was a shame that the movies did well enough that no one is going to come along later and decide to do a remake. I personally think that if Hollywood can remake the Hulk twice in the same decade, they can (and will) remake anything, but I see what he's saying.

*thinks* I think it's interesting, when they make movies based on, not a single book or a game or a toy, but a film which is meant to encompass a (oftentimes) huge childhood experience. It's not like Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings, where even if you hate the movies there are always the books to reread again and again, with the movie being one interpretation of that source material. When the source material is in every individuals brain, to varying extents and understandings, I think it's not only more difficult to nail down in film form, but the very act of making a film necessarily interferes with the original experience. I think it can enhance the experience, but I guess I can see how some people might feel cheated or deceived. I suppose the only thing left is knowing in your heart that such and such robot -was- cool even if the movie made him goofy.

And Faramir would not have touched that ring had he found it laying by the roadside.
