Transformers 2

I dont know, I watched the tv show with my brothers every weekend and I enjoyed them.. but unless I actually go back and study it, the only memories I have are the action figures.. and that the show was about robots fighting for shiny cubes.. and a couple of kids who befriended the good guy robots.. thats it. Oh and Bumblebee was a beetle.. but I think that him smashing the Bug in the first one is hilarious.. so he can stay. :lol

really, it makes perfect sense that they can become anything.. cause what alien planet should have talking robotic cars and weapons? its pretty silly.. *ducks*

Anyway they took the concept and delivered it wonderfully, the money and skill that went into making the effects and story believable was fantastic. So it doesnt bother me at all when something like this is created even if it deviates from the original storyline.

rofl I taped them everyday on vhs I still have them and all the movies. then I bought them on DVD while back for the hubster and ended up losing a movie but found it and bought it off the guy that played Fester from the new Adams family show HAHA how funny is that ... we are so stuck in the 80s still.
I do think that it was awesome that they used quotes from the original movies/shows in the movies they just made :D I think my kids arguing with the "grown" man about the transformers in the movies was funny He thought he knew everything and the kids , being so young, knew nothing about the original Transformers till Tony started going off about the time lines and this and that hehe ... yes I raised my kids junk food and 80s cartoons to hehe

But yeah still worth the money to go see. just the FX was enough without the plot even lol

Oh SNAP! Just watched this with Catherine and I gotta say, that was some outlandish shit Michael Bay pulled off! I laughed. I cried. Laughed some more. Very, VERY good sequel, I thought.

I will confess to not being a Transformers fan, and I didnt even see the first film. But Guy had it on a couple nights ago so I watched it with him and it actually wasnt bad considering its not the sort of thing I like.

Saw this the other day, and I thought it was MUCH better than the first. I actually didn't like the first one at all. This one, was really good by comparison. Megan Fox though... she's just too hot. It's unrealistic. Pictures of her in the real world don't look half as good as she did in this movie. I'm not sure what they did, but... actually, just keep doing that. Thanks.

We finally watched this the other day, too. I liked the action, and overall I think it was a pretty good flick. I really could have done without the robots cussing, the dogs humping, and the stupid robot humping her leg. For something that is being done from a cartoon we all grew up watching, I really wanted it to be something I could watch with my kid without thinking wtf were -they- thinking every time I turned around.

Yeah, the leg-humping scene was pretty bad. It's degrading to the director or the writers or whoevers crappy idea it was, and vaguely insulting to the audience. When I go to see a movie, I go expecting something more than fart/masturbation jokes and sound effects.

Which robots were cussing? The twins? They were pretty annoying too, though they did have one or two amusing lines. Honestly, I don't blame the NAACP or whoever for being offended. I felt it was pretty blatantly disrespectful; an obvious parody of black men. One of them had a gold tooth. Really? A gold tooth? Was that necessary? Was his "real" tooth knocked out in a fistfight with his brother? Couldn't afford an implant? :roll: At least they lived longer than the "black" robot in the previous movie. Poor Jazz lasted about 3.7 seconds before getting stomped by Megatron. I think he had one line in the whole movie, and it was probably something disappointingly stereotypical.

I hated the twins - it was like Jarjar Binks doubled.

I hate characters in movies like Jarjar Binks. It brings the gay out.

I wasn't too impressed with the twins, either. There were a few other random shits or damns, which isn't horrible, but you would have never heard it come from one of them back in the cartoon.

yeah he says Oh shit ... but not like every other word. unlike the 2nd movie..
There wasn't as much curse and vulgar stuff in the first and FFS look how amazingly well it did. When they added all the extra stuff they kinda thumbed it down imho.
