When is it? I live in AZ so I'm immune, but I have to readjust when I can call people without waking them

THIS!!!!
I HATE DST WITH A PASSION UNEQUALED.
And ROz, it naturally begins to stay light later anyway :)
What I despise, along with the loss of an hour, is that it will also be dark in the mornings again, when just about now it was turning light before we got to work.
I HATE WAKING UP IN THE DARK TOO...
*sigh*

Hmm, guess they do it earlier this side of the pond lol. In the UK we did it on the last weekend of March. Oh well, for 3 weeks its 7 hours difference between me and my mum hehe. And why doesnt AZ have DST? I thought everyone did it?

People closer to the edges that aren't as affected as much by the season changes don't always do it -t here are places in other states that don't as well.

As far as I know, aside from AZ, and Hawaii, the only other state that doesn't observe DST is Indiana...but then it's only a part of Indiana...not the entire state. Now that's crazy, but I swear if I lived in Indiana, I'd live in the section that thumbs their noses at such a stupid and antiquated practice.
(And I suspected that ROz ;) LOL)

Well that is two other states :P I think there are places in Maine as well.
I don't mind it - it helps during the winter and really isn't that bothersome two weekends of the year. I guess it is outdated a little since we aren't farmers - I liked it as a kid waiting on the school bus in the daylight when it would have been dark

I find it stupidest that we observe it in Alaska. Mid summer it doesn't get dark period. WTF do we need to save daylight for?

We still have DST down under for a couple more weeks. They extended the period this year. I like DST, I don't understand why folks get bothered by it?

It bothers me because it costs money, isn't necessary, and disrupts my life for about a week every year.

I just dont see the point in it.. and my dogs and kids are used to going to bed and waking up at the same time every day.. it works for me cause theyre sleepy by bedtime, ready to wake up in the morning for school.. and as Den said, thats all out the window this week.. and then again in the fall.
If people want to wake up with the sun, they should be allowed to make that choice and set their alarm earlier if they choose to imho :p

Businesses...anyone who needs to take the time to change their clocks twice a year. It might seem like a pittance, but when you multiply it by millions...there is the cost.
Oh...and there are also statistics that show there are more motor vehicle accidents in the mornings following the changes.
