Kim Harrison - The Hollows series

So Ive been told I have to read this series.. about a witch who is something like a mercenary or bounty hunter I guess.. and in a world of vampires, werewolves and other fantasy creatures.. modern day. My brother in law wants me to read it cause he couldnt put it down, and he and I have very similar tastes, and so I am having mom read it too and she is really enjoying it. Anyone else read it?

I have to say.. my father has always been a clint eastwood/ spaghetti western junkie.. so I find the titles pretty funny.

(probably not in order)
The Good, The Bad and the Undead
Dead Witch Walking
Every Which Way but Dead
A Fistful of Charms
For a Few Demons More
Outlaw Demon Wails
White Witch, Black Curse
etc

I absolutely love her series. I just picked up White Witch, Black Curse this past weekend.

If you try it and like it, you should also read Charlene Harris' Sookie Stackhouse books, and Kelley Armstrong's Otherworld series, if haven't already

I love Rachael and Ivy! And of course Jenks the crazy ass pixie You'll definitely like the series hon. I'm waiting for the latest to go paperback. Still need to get the one before that too since I borrowed that one from the library in hard cover. I really love the world Kim created for this one tho. It makes the characters, and all the wild magic and beasties, really believable.

I picked up the series while Im out here since there are no bookstores back in mo.. and my brother in law only wants me to get into them so he can borrow the books lol

Otherwise I would just get them on my Kindle.. so much easier.

I glanced at these the last time I was in the bookstore because of this thread but I couldn't figure out which was the damn first book. Are they all standalone books? I would still like to read them in chrono order if I'm going to read them. I hate when they change the order of the list of books in every single book

Im the same way, I have to get at least the first three and read in order or it drives me nuts, but since I was grabbing them more as a favor to by bro in law I grabbed all up to the latest one,

I think Dead witch Walking is first, and Good Bad Undead is second. (the order theyre listed in the two book hardback Ive got.)

Yeah without going to look, Dead Witch Walking is definitely first. These are definitely not stand alone, at least not to me. She's an author who will make vague references to previous events, but doesn't tell you exactly what happened. Sooo if you don't read them in order, you're gonna either be lost about some things, or pissed about others when you go back to read them.
