I think it's going to be in 3D...

Too bad they chose such a cheesy font for the title.

Sam Worthington + kick ass graphics made it work for me. Whew, he is seriously hot. I enjoyed it enough to overlook the been there, done that story line. A bit long, but not bad.

Usually I wear contacts, especially to work, etc. However, lately I've been wearing my glasses more often at home to give my eyeballs a rest. When we went to see Avatar I forgot I had my glasses on, and was really upset initially. Lucky for me, I just slipped the 3D glasses on over my regular glasses and never noticed anything throughout the movie. Sorry it wasn't good for you, because I really don't think the movie would have been half as good in 2D.

well my glasses are still alitlte new so i'm still trying to get use to em myself ^_^ . it was my first 3d movie so i'm not sure what the difference would be in 2d and 3d tho the preview of alice looked nice in 3d :D

Avatar just passed the Dark Knight domestically to become the #2 grossing movie of all time. 552 million. I remember when Titanic came out and it was all anyone could talk about at work. Honestly, I don't see or hear about anyone talking about Avatar, but apparently it's because they're in the movie theater watching it. I liked it, but I didn't like it that much. I would, however, trade food for Sam Worthington.

Honestly, I have seen the movie twice now and I want to see it again. I suppose it is everything I want in a movie for entertainment vaule. A simple plot [archetypal], eye candy [blue kitties *drools*] and music is nice to listen to [yes even though it is like Titanic's soundtrak but give me one composer for a length of thier career that has had vastly different styles].

I was reading alot of what my friends were posting about it calling it "Dancing with Na'vi". Which I did laugh at cause it kind of gives you that feeling. I just feel alot of the viewers failed to realize this is going the be the next gerneration of movies/entertainment. The only reason I say this is StarWars when it came out, introduced a new vision of watching movies as well in 1977. So I am rather excited to see what comes of this milestone in movie history.

I still need to see it - I busted an eardrum so I'm trying to let that heal a bit to get the full experience. I'm hoping it stays popular enough to remain in theatres awhile

I read somewhere that people were becoming depressed because the world there was not a real world... where do these people come from?
ROzbeans 16 years ago
I'm pretty sure from places like TAC lol. I heard about that too, the 'blues'. Very bizarre.

Umm... even if it were a real world... how were they planning on getting there? How about being depressed because we haven't made any advancements in interstellar travel, ever, before you start crying about nonexistant planets you couldn't visit anyways.

I'd totally want to be 9ft tall and have a tail. Really.

Maybe all of the aforementioned people will exit stage left and then we won't have to worry about their offspring mucking up the gene pool for future generations.
