Robin Hood (2010)

Directed by Ridley Scott. That's all you need to go and see it.

Oh and Russell Crowe is in this too.

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves was my all time favorite movie when I was 12.

This version might not so much be for 12 year old girls :X. But then, previews can make a movie look like anything - I saw a preview for Precious that made it look like a freakin' feel good flick. I kind of hope this Robin Hood holds onto some of the cocky charm and humor of other Robin Hood films, but it looks like they're taking it awfully seriously.

It looks good, but I'm going to have a hard time buying Russell Crowe as Robin Hood - he's nearly the opposite of what I picture as Robin Hood

His men did not look so merry. They were more scowly men, not so much with the merry.

I still dig Kevin Costner as Robin Hood, even if he can't do an English accent to save himself lol.

LOL, I stand corrected! I always thought he was Australian.

Sorry sorry sorry, geez. Let me rephrase: "But he's famous, and he can do a convincing british accent (and a few others), so..."

I didn't even watch the trailer, I just looked at the embedded thumbnail and saw enough.

Robin hood and his cranky men?

But wait... What's all this about taking from the rich and giving to the poor?! How many raving lunatics are gonna declare jihad on this film because of Robin Hood's socialist agenda?

I'm reserving judgement for now. It looks kinda like Gladiator II - which would be très uncool. If Joaquin Phoenix makes an appearance and raps in the middle of the movie, on the other hand, it would be awesome enough to make my eyes bleed.

AM I NOT MERCIFUL, BITCHES?

This was on HBO last night. Eh. I wish I had known it was a prequel type deal - I kept waiting for it to get Robin Hoody, and it kept not. Otherwise it was just a subpar movie with the name Robin Hood. Then at the very end it says "and so a legend begins"......OH NOW YOU FUCKING TELL ME???

D+ to C- on a scale of 1 to 10

Directed by Ridley Scott, too. =/ He's so super awesome, but Russell Crowe? Meh. Was he any good in it?
