Saw this a few weeks back on Channel 131...it was better than I expected, though I've yet to be too disappointed in a Bruce Willis movie...(not counting Hudson Hawk-gag me).

I never had any respect for Kelefane to begin with, so his feelings on this topic are irrelevant to me. ;)

I'd give this one a solid 3 out of 5 stars for being entertaining, but the overall story, while good, is disjointed. The whole concept of living through vicariously through a surrogate does bring about world peace and all that crap, but it's like an extension of the anonymity you get through the internet. Fat dude masquerading as a hot blond chick, etc. It starts off with an FBI agents case about mysterious murders between the operator and their surrogate, which isn't suppose to happen. You die outside, you aren't suppose to die as you lay pale skinned, pimply, and out of shape in your home. You find out that he has reasons he and his wife hide behind the surrogate, but he is ultimately forced to start living life in the real as the case gets more and more complex.
That's where the disjointed mess comes in - it doesn't really transition that well. It's a little confusing especially when they start chasing after the 'bad guy'. I swear they lend maybe 20 seconds and 4 sentences as to why or how they come to this conclusion, but they're off!
I don't know, not a bad movie, definitely a one time movie, but Bruce Willis is pretty cool.

This is where I lost interest in the movie. This guy spends the vast majority of his life lying around hooked into a computer, yet he's able to just spring to his feet and start chasing bad guys.
I realize it's Hollywood, and a certain suspension of disbelief is necessary, but that was taking it a little too far. I would have rather seen Bruce Willis' human character severely limited by his lack of condition, forcing him to use his skill set as a detective in more innovative ways. :borg
(Or maybe he's a prawn. They don't atrophy.)
