Speed painting/render for TAC

The speed render topics have been moved to The Thing with the Thing, with the Stuff. The new topic is coming up Wednesday! wooohooo!

Moving/Sticking this so people will know what SPR stands for and so we can keep track of the schedule.

I hate not being able to play :( I mean I can still sketch and all but i cant scann or open any art stuff on this comp.. which I seriously don't get since it runs WoW fine /boggle
Could come up with some ideas as well =( /hates

I don't think you necessarily have to use free-hand if that is not your medium. I think these exercises are more about fun and learning. So perhaps using the concepts to play with render and or post-work techniques. Or perhaps you could set yourself a smaller time frame like 15-20 minutes to work layout planning. I think there are many different ways you can adapt the exercises to suit you. I would be interested to see what you come up with.

Does photoshop not open on that computer? and have you done all the updates for it? ( graphic drivers and art program drivers.. even drivers for your scanner)

I updated the list with people who expressed interest in this thread. Holler if you want on or off, an' when we run out of people we can flop back to the beginning? Hope I'm not being a busybody :X. Also started to add names to the calendar but...I don't have much attention span. Might do more later.

i darn near fell over when i saw the list - i haven't been able to do any of them and so seeing my name there was a jawdropper - looking forward to it and once i get a new mouse (it died over at HoH last night - so I blame Slovman) i might actually get to try one of these!!!

Just realized that the SPR threads all in here are totally related to this post. I'm so brilliant. >.<

30 minutes is a good time-frame, I could definitely attempt some of those. I'm guessing like the CA.org ones, we're allowed to post to old topics as well if we do them after the new topic is up? Or did you want to just keep it on that week, or that specific topic, so things don't get necro-bumped?

I think that is pretty much how it has been. A few people have gone back to past topics already.

So after June 11th, are we stopping for a breather? I think that might be a good idea, considering our pace here. It'll give the lot of us time to go back to things missed, maybe? Then we could plan for another say 10 and then do another breather of a couple weeks?

I think a breather would be good. That'll also give some people the opportunity to catch up on some of the subjects if they want.

I already have an idea for my next turn, but im pretty busy so I agree that a breather would be nice :P
