Say Anything.
'Say Anything' is a John Cusak/Cameron Crowe 1989 teen flick. ' A noble underachiever and a beautiful valedictorian fall in love the summer before she goes off to college.' This is actually not what this thread is about, but the message is the same.
Actually no it isn't, I just like imdb.com and the title sounded interesting. /snort
This is not necessarily a vent thread - far from it. This is about saying anything - weather, the bird outside your work window, the fundamental differences between Mormons and catholics, how Law and Order Criminal Intent doesn't get the props it deserves, that I always forget whether it's 'it's' or 'its', that my daughter has a beautiful smile and the first guy that breaks her heart - I'm breaking his knees...it's about anything.
So, say anything.
Now, we lived in Phoenix.. we dont get alot of reindeer poop in our yard, and we didnt have pets, so I had to check it out. There was kitty poop in the yard near where the food had been.. ( and daddy had picked up the food the night before)
They still are positive that it was the reindeer hehe, and ours was the only house they ate at, cause all the other Kindergarteners in the neighborhood still had their food outside, and no poop!
I am already missing the 9 month summertime weather from back home, and winter hasnt even gotten here yet!
...and Stef wore braces too, ROz, but she didn't get them until her first year of high school. She did have four teeth pulled when she was about nine, that gave all her other teeth room to grow in, they just didn't grow in as straight as we'd hoped. :P

Our Dentist also wants us to get our 11 year old an evaluation with the ortho.
I'm also going to need to get some ortho work done eventually... my bottom teeth, when I hold my teeth together touch the roof of my mouth. The ortho said that it gets more pronounced in everyone as they age, but at my age, they should be nowhere near the top of my mouth *sobs* And our dental doesn't cover adult orthodontics, even if it's a necessity.
Then there's the little one... it's obvious even now she'll need work done. :(
Catherine has a pronounced overbite, it's really developed in the past year with her losing more of her baby teeth and apparently she has a tongue thrust problem. It's not so noticeable, but as she gets older it will and I don't want her being 'that girl with the fucked up grill'. =x The first phase is a bottom lip spacer that pushes it forward in front of her top teeth and a tongue block...thing to keep her from pushing her top teeth out. That's 1500 and she wears it for a year. I have no idea how much of that will be covered by our military dental.

EDIT: Easy 'nuff! Go to my new town office and show 'em mail with my new address on it, and they'll register me. Yay! :)
This past week was the start of 8 week courses ending in December. None of my current classes are 8 weekers, so I'm just adding more work to my schedule for now. Day 1 of my new class surprised us. He gave us 1 week to submit a research paper. Who assigns research papers for an SQL class??? He also is toying with the idea of taking attendance twice daily - once at the start of class, and once at the end of the 3 hour labtime (too bad if you finish early, you can't leave... this university has mandatory attendance or they boot you).
I was asked to help a classmate study for our Business Stats test last week. I guess that's what I get for looking too comfortable. At least I got free dinner. Ended up starting my test half an hour late because of traffic and the instructor was short on copies. Barely finished.
At least I'm done with my 20 minute management presentation. Yuck? Yuck. Now I have to make sure I'm ready for the test at 4:30. Might have a Geography test too, since my classes usually do that at the same time. Then I need to get an 8-10 page paper started and finished before the 4th.
I don't think I'm gonna get the chance to enjoy Halloween... although I'll probably risk my health (due to all-nighters to catch up) if any girls tell me to get my ass out of the house to go costume-watching.
Speaking of girls, one of my friends kept mentioning Saw V (huge horror movie freak... I think that stuff is like pr0n to her). I figured we might watch it on Friday, but I was stuck doing schoolwork and she ended up not having time because she didn't get her errands finished. So I went out later that night because some girls from PT were taking a patient to Hooters for his 22nd vaginal emergence anniversary. For a place that has such a reputation for "girls, girls, girls," there really wasn't a whole lot of eye candy floating about. I did ask the cutest girl working there to pose for some pictures with an old college/work buddy of mine, but then we went to a different bar for better food after the PT girls left. One of my friends seemed to pick up an infatuation with a girl we met at the other bar. Too bad for him, I found out she's got a family.
Also got to meet a friend's new husband. I was a little anxious about that one. She and her ex-husband are like family to me, so meeting his replacement wasn't high on my list of happy things. Thank God, he seems to be a genuinely good guy. Looks a lot like Jay Mohr, gets along great with her young girls, and didn't feel threatened in the slightest by any of the personal stories involving me she blurted out. What impressed me was when I mentioned running across the Maroon 5 cover of the old Willy Wonka song, "Pure Imagination," and he started singing it. It wasn't like he was showing off or anything, but he remembered the song from the original movie and was seeing if that was the one I meant.
