On my way home from work, I go through the airport, and there was a guy in the opposite lanes of traffic on the side of the road, facing our lanes of traffic with his crank out taking a leak. In the middle of the day. I've seen people try to be discreet about those types of emergencies, but not this guy. He wanted everyone to see him piss. Kind of creepy actually.

I leave McChord and Roz moves back to Washington *sniffs self to make certain that she wasn't net-stinky or something. * =P

Yup, we were there for a little over 8 years before we PCSed to the UK. I actually wish I was back there and keep chanting "two more years" lol.

We were here back from 95-03 originally - Catherine was born at Madigan, in fact. I always keep missing people. Adi will be in anchorage in August so I'm just missing her =x

We're all together again now on Whidbey Island where our parental units live - even Shadow! Mike and I will drive down with David to McChord to check into the base and look for houses. Internet will be sporadic again.

We found a house and the seller accepted our offer - HOWEVER...the nation is plagued with 'short sales' which is a pre-foreclosure home. Meaning the seller is about to or has fallen behind on payments and has to sell the house for less than their mortgage but it allows them to avoid foreclosure and ganking their credit totally. Our house was valued at 300k last year but our accepted offer was 241k - wild, huh? This is our forever house. There is NO way in a healthy market would we be able to afford this house - so thank god for a recession, right?

4 bedrooms, 2.5 bath. The 5th bedroom was converted into a walk in closet - our first apartment master bedroom is the size of this walk in closet. Marble fireplace, oak/wrought iron bannister, manicured and fenced in back yard with patio, master suite (literally the size of our first apartment total) with a garden soaking tub, stand alone shower, 2 sink vanity, crown molding throughout the house, 'official office with pergo floors' which Mike has dubbed, 'His room' and the seller's painted beautiful earth tone colors. I absolutely LOVE IT.

Waiting on the lender to approve which can unfortunately take several months depending on...well lots of things. However the seller's agent has her shit together as does ours so paperwork is already done, just waiting on the bank. Keep your fingers crossed!

Life without internet is interesting =x The last time we did this was when we moved to Alaska. We're still waiting to hear if the lender has approved our offer - it's only been 1 week and they say it could take up to 5 months - we're hoping it won't take that long =( Catherine started back to school, much to her dislike. She was hoping for a 5 month break - pfft, yeah right.

We're heading up to the parental units again this weeken for mother's day and we'll have internet again, but then it's back down to tacoma and only this business center located half a mile away to use for internet. I'm shuddering at the thought of checking my rozbeans email - all it gets now is junk porn so I'm sure there's 800+ emails waiting for me to delete. =(

Whew! Ok, finally got internet back =D We're living in a 1 bedroom apartment while we wait for the sale of the house to go through. We have no furniture and I have discovered that having David has seriously fucked up my hips - so much so that sitting on the floor (like I am right now) hurts me so badly that I can barely walk for a few minutes after I get up. =/

We're probably here for at least a month, but god willing no longer than that. =(

STUPID FUCKING LENDERS!!!

The 2nd mortgage lender counter offered with 265k. The fucking house ISNT EVEN WORTH THAT!!! I told my agent to tell the lender to kiss my brown ass. We're in a position now to counter offer lower than our offer which is 241k. GOD I FUCKING HATE SHORT SALES. Hopefully they turn down the offer totally and we can get our earnest money back (2k) and start looking again.
