What I would be asking is how the fuck can it be appraising so low? I mean, its pre-forclosure, so it can't have been priced that high to start with?

Well, when we offered the original amount it was APRIL. It took the lenders this fucking long to accept that offer, then in the mean time the market went tits up. =/ Maybe we'll know something on monday.

I will ask Tim if he has our mortage gal's card still. She literally busted her ass for us to get us in this house...she did it in 2 months AND got us about 15k over our purchase price to help with closing costs, fuel, etc. Of course the market did go up here rather than down between our offer and closing, but I know she worked her ass off for us. She's in Anchorage...pretty sure she handles out of state stuffs too.

Wow that's a long damn time to be in limbo. I hope they figure it out quickly because I know it's hell being in such a cramped space for so long. We were in a 1 room motel for 6 months! Sending all my positive thoughts your way.

The appraiser only upped his evaluation of the property by 2k and it needed to go 5.5k so fuck that house. =/ We're putting in another offer on a house we actually like better =/

And if I seem to be in a real fucking bad mood lately over everything, I hope y'all can understand why. It's not an excuse but it's the truth and I'm trying the best I can not to let it bother me.

You can come live here. Its warm and there's tons of houses that builders have made that no one can afford right now. We can find you a McMansion for cheap...ish. It has no lawn and no trees really and the neighbors are so close you can pass a cup of sugar out your kitchen window to them but its big enough for three families and six cars so that's got to count for something. ;)

Shoot Mai, the airport there in Atlanta impressed the hell out of me when you and I met the year before, I'd live out there! However, we did find a house.

We're moving on base. /cries softly We had switched agents to our old one that had helped us back in 2002 to buy our first house out here but it isn't really her territory and she hasn't even called me back so meh. We looked at a house yesterday and the housing guy said, 'you can move in this afternoon'.

So we said fuck it and decided to move on base this thursday, switch Catherine to the school there (which is suppose to be excellent) and we're going to squeeze into a 1300 square foot house (we were needing 2000 sq ft). We'll have to put some stuff in storage but it's decent enough and it'll only be for a year. Considering we just spent almost 5 months living out of suitcases, we can do that on our heads.

So I'll be afkish thursday but probably back on fine on Friday.

Sounds like you'll get to stretch out a bit at least. I'm glad you've found something bigger than what you had and hopefully you'll end up finding a much better home in a year's time.
