LoL Yup was watching it last night with hubby, having him ask a variety of questions since he's barely watched it. He has listened to me bitch about it all the time. On its own, I like it well enough. On the other hand, I loved the books, and would be much happier with the show if it stuck to the fucking plots in the books. Just don't get me started LoL But that scene, such bs. Lil over the top imo, too. A lot of the stuff they do is pretty brutal really. To me it's like they are trying really hard to make stuff bloody as all get out to prove they aren't just another vampire show you can watch on regular tv. The books don't get that gruesome, so not sure why they've felt the need. Oops, ranted again, sorry LoL

Which is exactly why I made sure to read all of the Percy Jackson books before the movie came out. Just from the trailers I could already tell they screwed some stuff up in the first one. Have it sitting in my cart at Amazon now cuz I didn't realize it was out already LoL

The Harry Dresden show is another one they made a mockery of when they put it on tv. Sad sad too, cuz that could have been a really great show. Oh well, I'll keep watching True Blood, with the understanding that it is only loosely inspired by the books. Bastards! *shakes fist*

I wonder if these screenwriters/producers ever read the fucking books, I mean really? or are they reading an entirely different book, cliff notes? ... don't bother reading vampire diaries series either if you watch the show lol

I don't understand why they change so much from the books. There is a reason the books were good and people liked them and read them. So why change shit?

Dude, the end was alot of BS, she wouldnt of been still laying there loving it with her fn head twisted around. Even in Harris's vampire world. I asked myself "is this straight out of Death Becomes Her?" I hated Maryanne last season too. But thats HBO for you blood fucking and gore

What seriously bugs me about the whole Maryanne thing is the fact that they took two characters and tried to meld them into one. Maryanne was NOT the manatae or however ya spell it, she's a fucking fairy "godmother". That whole season was fucked from the get go when the body they found in the parking lot wasn't Lafeyette. Don't get me wrong, I'm kinda glad they didn't kill him off cuz he's become a cool character. Doesn't change the fact that all they've really done for this show is take the main characters from the book, and add in some bs plots for the supporting cast that wouldn't really be there if they stuck to the first person view of the books. BLAH!

The fact that they brought "Maryanne" in like one or two books/seasons early, then made her the maenad that Sam actually has a lil fling with not some kinda damn war, just more proof of how they've taken the whole series and twisted it into what they want, not what the books were about. By calling her Maryanne, not sure how they'll eventually intro the real Maryanne character. Then again, I'm still pissed off that there's no Elvis vampire. How many impersonators are there out there who could have pulled off Bubba no prob!? Bastards!

It's hard to imagine just how awesome a show about vampire manatees would be. I'd definitely watch it!
