ROUND 1 - Ethan goes potty (Mafia Hit) OOC DICUSSION

I missed the red eyes, but as for the gun, there's a few people packing heat in the bank today. They really oughta install some metal detectors or something. I really don't feel like going back through and pointing out each person who was carrying a gun right now. Maybe later! What's interesting about the gun to me is that the agent doesn't even think about using it. Why?

Kris is doing more than just carrying a gun, though.



Emphasis mine. The staying quiet thing could tie into the whole speaking motif, too.

What really stuck out to me is the reference to numbers regarding people or things throughout the hit...

So... I went and checked out all who had numbers in their profiles stating the quantity of items (not money).

I just gotta say, not that I am, but if it was me who killed him in the toilet it would be damned ironic, considering the last game I played was for the Stand mafia, in which my character was quickly killed by that lil girl scout SK in a toilet LoL Wow that's a run on sentence *giggle*

Sorry Eve but everything everyone has said kinda points to you and lol sorry but the color of your hair reminds me of a cherry color. I wonder if that is why all the cherry references. Yes I know there are others who have red hair but your pic is just so vibrant. Not saying I know everything and I am still combing through all the bios. sheesh there are a lot.
Oh and as far as all the number references the only things that stand out to me are Vulash-Mathematician, Veri she just seems OCD to me with all her neat little thingsin her purse(jeez you carrying a suitcase with all the amount of things you have..you must be), and then there is Nickenstein he is just wacko in my account.
Well that is what I have so far. Unfortunately I have to work early tomorrow and I have to make a decision here in the next 10 to 15 minutes. So its might be a eeny miny moe out of the ones I named. If you aren't Mafia I am sorry. Just not enough time to go into depth tonight.

I interpreted that quote as describing the sheriff (who can "talk" to Lucifer in that he can ask who's mafia). Mafia know who each other are, but townies don't.

Me too. I mentioned it because of the hypothesis that the "strange" quote from the killers came from the SK and not from one of the Mafia, in which case, they were working together, which would be unfair in my opinion. The main part I was quoting was "Mine know who they are. Yours…don’t." I just added all the rest to give the quote some context. It wasn't actually part of the point I was making.

But now that you've got me thinking about it again...

Isn't it entirely possible that the SK **IS** part of the Mafia, but the Mafia members don't know? Wouldn't that be an interesting twist! The SK would essentially get 3 chances to kill someone.

One thing that stood out to me is this bit:

I'm sorry if someone's already mentioned this, but this indicates that the person who actually shoved his head sounds like someone who appears quite weak, so perhaps one of the small women or old men (yes, I'm stereotyping ;) )

Tenuous thought: lots of references to the opulence and money spent in the bathroom, and right after Ethan admires the bathroom, someone says "‘I tell you, on the Day of Judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” Boris Sevnik is a hardcore Leninist (who, uh, was an atheist. Not everything fits ;) )

Ok typing random thoughts as I read to get them down somewhere.

First - I think the first person (my guess is the godfather) was a male based on the reaction. Afterwards, as someone pointed out, he blushed when he saw the others - so we've got a coed killing crew. Lead by a man of course (just kidding verileah!!!)

Snowdragon/Nadiya: Tiny (not expected to be strong, and MANY references to music - almost all of which is classical music - maybe not exactly what you'd hear as "soft music" in a corporate bathroom, but very close. I really like this clue. Oh and she plays the piano. What I don't like is that she is Russian and I didn't see any accent from the writing style in the spoken parts. Has anyone read The Gift? I googled it, but only really learned it was mostly an anthropological book about gift exchange. Diamond studs could be a reference to crystals, but I think that is a stretch.

Kilandra/Myraan: Multiple references to the number 3 and a psychiatrist card

Eve/Olivia: some great clues here, but I don't see anything that hasn't been stated

Slipnish/Boris: 6' tall - could be hard and intimidating to step around (a stretch here). The biggest thing I see here is his obvious problems with capitalism, and the motif of money/greed all throughout the opening kill - "He is convinced that the bourgeoisie bankers will NOT give it to him" It seems the scene went out of its way to paint the bankers as bourgeoisie.

Ksagag/Nichole: Like Eve - some good clues, but all mentioned that I see so not retyping

Keriath/victor: He has PTSD - which could be a reference to psychology, but I think it's a stretch. Plus it seems to obvious to make him mafia (or Roz wants us to think that!!!???ONEPHARRENONE)

Verileah/Danielle: gucci is Italian, she's small, and she has a shoe repair kit, plus the other clues mentioned

Pharren/Joel: Almost missed this one - there is definitely a fashion motif in how fancy the agent thinks everything is - Marble and cherry finish is mentioned over and over, and the agent even remarks on the fanciness of the bathroom to one of the killers - Joel is a fashion machine

MashPotato:John Smith: He's used to dealing with the VP (again the reference to the agent commenting on how nice these bathrooms are) - I thought there was something else but I lost it

Merreck/Ruth: Small with a reddish blouse

Gongaa/Sammy: Red hair. He is cordial - which is also a type of candy filled with CHERRIES. He's a smaller middle aged man (then again most of the males are)

Vudu/Kris: red eyes? Not only has a gun - has several and works in a gun shop. He also mentions that he doesn't tend to use guns - he tends to stay quiet and study people (the first killer did this - which I found odd) and he hates ignorant people. The staying quiet and studying people - while hating ignorance fits very well to me the fact that the first killer remained quiet and studied the agent, and then all of the passages about "speaking" and how it would come back to condemn you. I'm liking this one.
There is also the hand washing reference

KaAnna/Jayden: some references to red - and lots of jewelry (crystals)

Greywood/Spencer: references to money, references to counseling, crashed his car in a church (lots of religious references in the kill, but those are hard considering the theme)

The person walks (softly) to the stall to the right, but when he exits they're standing right in front of his stall, and he has to sidestep. Is this a clue somehow?

Rereading the comment about the bathrooms isn't as "fashion oriented" as I previously thought. Instead I think the important word is "crazy" - of which we have a few characters that fit with the crazy/psychology theme

Someone "curbing" him implies a violent streak - and breaking his jaw shuts him up

I disagree about men using their feet to flush - I think it's a womanly reference, and someone short. But it doesn't really narrow anything down so it isn't helpful.

I'm leaning towards snowdragon/Nadiya or vudu/kris unless I see some other compelling evidence

Or perhaps a germaphobe? Fleischer has a "touch of OCD", and Myraan Avers is a short woman who carries hand sanitizer.

my bio states i have one gun vulash.... not several... i work in a gun shop im only carrying one the only other thing that has to do with guns thats on me is my 44 rounds in my pocket from my mother

I'm not sure that people with a touch of OCD are germophobes, necessarily - and probably wouldn't use their feet (not to mention hard to do with business shoes on I would think). Regardless, I can't deny there are clues that are "numbery".

The first day is always so hard.

Another strategy might be to see who the major cluegivers have dliberately left out - For example I left a lot off my list that I didn't feel had strong clues (maybe one or two minor things, but not like the others). But say I was leaving someone out that was obvious..... I'm not sure if I have the stamina for a list like that, but it might be worth looking into. Someone kept a voting chart once that was really helpful.

I misread the gun/.44 thing. I'm not sure what you mean about the speaking thing unless you're saying my bio says I stay quiet - it's possible, I didn't go over mine with a comb because I know what I am :P

You do have quite a bit about staying quiet and studying people in your bio

EDIT: I don't see anything in my bio about staying quiet - so I think maybe I just misunderstood what you were saying. Also I reread the OCD line and it says "he likes everything to go according to plan, a touch of OCD perhaps?".
