Is it weird...
... to WANT false teeth?!
Like seriously, I am never ever sick enough to see a doctor. I had to argue with the dentist in BC about penicillin because he couldn't believe I'd never had antibiotics. But dentists make a fucking fortune off me.
I drank milk with every meal, and water in between, until I was nearly 15. Candy and sweet things were for birthdays and Christmases. I brushed my teeth twice a day!
But I still have cavities, and abscesses, and impacted wisdom teeth, and a random tooth that never came in and is now trying to push out the one that is there. I have toothache and/or some jaw pain at least once a month or so (better than the constant agony I had for 8 months a few years ago mind you, but still...)
So... is it weird to honestly, seriously, want to have all my teeth removed and have false teeth?
The whole experience was very traumatic for me. I should have gotten dentures, but I wasn't able to handle that emotionally. To me, the real question isn't "is it weird", but "is it worth it to you?"
You just gotta do what you think is best for you. I still have 2 impacted wisdom teeth and I know how much fun that is.
I told him he was not that lucky.
God I thought my head was going to explode from the self restraint required to not make that joke :D.
I broke my two front teeth going down a water slide when I was 10. Thinking of getting veneers but they seem like an expensive vanity. On the other hand I've spent 20 years refusing to smile with my teeth showing.
On a side note, Ria laughs at my phobia and asked me wtf I'm gonna do when I have babies. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it! lol
dentures>bridges>implants
You could always get the dentures that are anchored by implants so that you don't need to cover your palette. Kind of glorified super-bridges.
Implant scare me....I like the idea of them, but it means more dentist/surgery. Which is what I'd rather avoid. I just want it all done in one go (preferably unawares) so that I don't have to endure any more hospital lol.
Possibly a phobia of hospitals, doctors, dentists, nurses, surgeons, orderlies, x-ray technicians, ultrasound technicians, phlebologists, other patients, surgery, examinations, needles, sutures, blood, plasma, other bodily fluids, IV tubes, IV bags, IV bag-carrier-things, shiny metal medical implements, shiny metal medical implement trays, incomprehensible beeping electronic devices with funny lights on them, hospital gowns, scrubs, adjustible beds, those scary foot straps attached to certain of those beds, local anesthetics, general anesthetics, epidurals, psychotropics, psychotics, anti-psychotics, anti-depressants, anti-coagulants, pro-coagulants, clipboards, or puppies.
Wait, I think I've missed something. Is there some sort of connection between having babies and getting one's teeth pulled?
Getting pregnant, the hormonal changes, can deteriorate the health of your gums/teeth, or change just about anything else about you. It just depends on the person.
Listen, in like 10 years when all your teeth are gone, you're going to think differently about the whole thing. I opted to have my molar way way in the back yanked instead of having the root canal/cap, but it's way the fuck back there so even I can't see it. Your teeth are damn near the first thing people see, except for boobs, so you might want to really reconsider if you want to look like a hooker with teeth decay who had to get her grill ripped out due to poor hygiene or just suck it up and go to the dentist =/
Just being honest because that'll be the first thing I'll think of it I see a chick with obvious dentures because you're talking A LOT of money for even dentures that are respectable.
When Erik was a teenager a homeless person told him that the best advice he could give Erik was if he could get a blowjob from a chick without teeth to DO IT! So ... yeah..
How does a teenager get into conversations about toothless blowjobs with vagrants?
