Hogwarts Mafia Round 2 /ooc discussion

yup she's the only one who said she was a beater in her bio. I'd thought it possibly significant when it said on the day one combo kill that he stopped to read a Quiddich posting before the mafia ran into him. But with so many of us saying we're Quid players it was a weak argument on it's own.

That's interesting, considering that that quote referenced several different kind of animals. I have noticed numerous owl references myself, but I'm not immediately leaping to the conclusion that Simon/Mae is mafia (and also a veteran player). Note that the same quote you made also references an owl, and owls figure prominently in today's mafia hit as well. Simon specifically states that his only friend was an owl.

In addition, his favorite subject is also transfiguration. He's also far taller than I am, and there have been certain allusions to height so far.

Simon is also a veteran player of far more games than me. He fits the description just the same. I don't like to point fingers without a bit more evidence, however.

The beater thing I considered inconsequential. The hit took place in the trophy room, which kind of leaves very little speculation as to how to use the stuff in there... they're really only good for coshing someone with. I thought the student services description of the trophy was far more telling, and Simon is said to be respected by all of his teachers.

Furthermore, he is carrying a wand with him, which my character is not.

While I can't dispute the fact that I fit the description fairly well, I really don't think it's enough. /shrugs. Which is why I haven't brought Simon's name up.

Actually BR that was why i was not initially posting in ooc. I had also noticed the owls. i didn't focus on owls yet because i think they are mentioned in more than one bio? i had gone to people in private first to get their thoughts before I posted. You also have excellent points, which is why I was checking with others. of course there is more than one mafia so you could be toads and Simon could be owls and you could both be mafia which makes the quote a perfect clue. Simon was also one of the ones I spoke with.

I think between Rae Mae and BR one of them has to die tomorrow. One has to be mafia, but I have no clue which =/ Hopefully tomorrow sheds a little light

I actually interpreted that clue differently. I can pm ya if you want but I'm not really sure I'm correct about it yet.

another thing to consider, and the reason i didn't necessarily suspect simon until after my name was dropped is that several bios mention having taken their O.W.L.s that would make the continued reference to owls relevant, but there needs to be more to go on.

It's day 2. Everyone is bandwagon voting.

This is my first game and I'm having fun, but it's AMAZING how many conspiracy theories get going in just over 24 hours of playing.

That is somewhat the point though - and there isn't a whole lot else to go on. Btw my voting theories aren't whacky theories - they tend to work well in the past.

The people who voted for me must be mafia. I don't believe you all are stupid enough to blindly follow such a faulty theory.

Whether it's true or not - Mafia can probably garner 4 or 5 votes atm easy, and with the rest of the townies in a somewhat state of confusion because of the early game it would be easy to force a vote on day 2. Hopefully day 3 we can be more decisive.

Odds are you were probably a townie, it's not likely that we'd ever get a mafia so early on. You got railroaded by a good theory, doesn't mean we're tards. Just means we were watching our own asses. lol

Speaking of which, I'm not mafia but I'm guessing any townie that points the finger at me, the mafia will hop on the bandwagon and nod their heads. That's how it always happens. People, y'all need to read the bios again - some clues are just so blantantly obvious it's hilarious.
