Say Anything.
'Say Anything' is a John Cusak/Cameron Crowe 1989 teen flick. ' A noble underachiever and a beautiful valedictorian fall in love the summer before she goes off to college.' This is actually not what this thread is about, but the message is the same.
Actually no it isn't, I just like imdb.com and the title sounded interesting. /snort
This is not necessarily a vent thread - far from it. This is about saying anything - weather, the bird outside your work window, the fundamental differences between Mormons and catholics, how Law and Order Criminal Intent doesn't get the props it deserves, that I always forget whether it's 'it's' or 'its', that my daughter has a beautiful smile and the first guy that breaks her heart - I'm breaking his knees...it's about anything.
So, say anything.
I'm totally in arty mood, but cant afford the stuff I want from Rendo atm :( couple of outfits there I just wanna drool on. Have an idea for a nude one though, but gotta speak nice to someone first... :)
It usually doesnt bother me that much when they dont pick my art, for some reason this month was worse.. prolly cause Im in the same boat you are Jet, cant spend the money to get things I want, so the voucher woulda been really nice..
Keep playing with the lighting hun, its what makes the difference between awesome and ok, Im still figuring it out.. one day ill be Vex/Adi/Eve good.. someday *bats eyelashes dreamily*
And there's a smudge of something dark in the lower center of the monitor. On an LCD screen this is generally a bad thing, depending on what it is. So I brush my finger against it. It smears. Crap. So I go get a paper towel. It won't come off. I dampen it then finally am able to get it off.
I do the only techy thing I can do to identify it. I sniff it.
Fucking makeup.
and if we get any more rain wont be able to drive in or out of our tiny town.
good lord these thunderstorms can be scary out here..
and if we get any more rain wont be able to drive in or out of our tiny town.
We're having scary lightning strikes here, but without the rain...hence over 800 fires in California going on right now. More dry lightning reported coming this weekend...:(
Im so used to no weather at all, other than extreme heat or a months worth of monsoons every summer, these thunderstorms and flooding is just strange to me , and a little scary.
The storm we had tuesday, the clouds looked like some special effect from a sci fi movie, black as could be yet glowing teal in the middle, and when it hit couldnt see through the rain across the yard..and the winds were supposedly round 50-60 mph, make me wonder how were gonna know if a tornado does come :-(
We have one of those weather alert radios, but it didnt go off the other day so not sure it would really go off when needed..
Lovely summer in FL.../gag
Oh and mosquitos.. and wth is a chigger? I think those too, somethings been biting the heck out of me and I never catch them in the act so i can kill em!
Anyway, totally sympathize on the wasp thing Las hehe, sarahs had me kill two and chase one out of the house in the last week lol.
Chiggers, aka red bugs! Used to hate those blasted things when I lived further south. You can barely see them, but they're kinda red when you do. Bite you and yeah it itches like a mother fucker! I believe those were the bites we'd always put clear nail polish over to suffocate them because I think they burrow into you :( Been a long time tho, but you might wanna ask the locals bout them hon.
My grandma lived in Indiana for a long time, and I remember visiting her as a teen, and watching her paint clear nail polish around her waist band, to deal with chiggers. Never got them myself, but then in California we don't really have all those freaky bugs in the city :P
Ive seen little red bugs..they look kinda like ticks.. ( *shudder* ) all over these planters we have in front of the house , the planters are hideous.. ( they look like cement geese) and theyre full of some weed or wildflower thing.. so wanna get rid of them.. maybe now I have an excuse hehe.
I hate bugs, but not as much as Catherine does, hehe.
Interesting thing happened today - I got a hold of an old friend that I used to work with back in 95/96. She had met her husband back when we were working together and they were SO in love. It was a neat little dealio how they met and all and finally married. So I try and old email and then BOOM, it's still good. Now, Mike and I are bored out of our minds now having any of our old friends still here (or close by) like we had before so I'm thrilled to bits about her being here, which she is. Even lives off the same friggin main street we do right now. She even has a 6 year old which is close enough in age to Catherine. Except...her husband cheated on her and they broke up 5 years ago.
Bummer. =/ I mean for her. =x
