Say Anything.

'Say Anything' is a John Cusak/Cameron Crowe 1989 teen flick. ' A noble underachiever and a beautiful valedictorian fall in love the summer before she goes off to college.' This is actually not what this thread is about, but the message is the same.

Actually no it isn't, I just like imdb.com and the title sounded interesting. /snort

This is not necessarily a vent thread - far from it. This is about saying anything - weather, the bird outside your work window, the fundamental differences between Mormons and catholics, how Law and Order Criminal Intent doesn't get the props it deserves, that I always forget whether it's 'it's' or 'its', that my daughter has a beautiful smile and the first guy that breaks her heart - I'm breaking his knees...it's about anything.

So, say anything.

Pictures Roz. Pictures.

Yeah but wouldn't that require you to actually date your girlfriends instead of just being the 'guy friend'? I still don't get that.

Sometimes I get it, sometimes I don't. Depends on the day. Incidentally, I currently have a few different girls waiting on my meds to run out in March because they each want to get me drunk.

Yeah, I know. I'm gonna get plastered off one drink and pass out.

Just don't let them put lipstick on you and post it on myspace.

Why do they have to get you drunk?
Vishanti 17 years ago
They apparently think I'm a cute drunk. When I'm buzzed, I'm more sober than I am when I'm sober. When I'm drunk, I'm just a happy dork. A happy, happy dork that goes around making sure everyone else is just as happy.

And Roz, no one would dare put lipstick on me. They know I have a creative streak that sometimes gets freaky with the practical joker in me, and I'm willing to pull pranks in public.

This is a good reputation to have, especially when you have kids!

Why do some people just have to make you feel like shit?!
Lessa 17 years ago
its their only talent..and it makes them feel tough. :hug

Seriously, I cant understand the need to be an asshole just for the sake of being an asshole! Maybe I am just too nice or something, but I -cant- be a bitch to someone unless they piss me off first. And even then I will usually just walk away and ignore them unless they push the wrong button and let the beast loose. But never, never, gone out of my way to make someone else feel shit :(

Sometimes I really think that people don't realize how much of an asshole they're being. I grew up in Massachusetts, where the majority of the state was like this. They'd say something COMPLETELY assholish, then go on like they didn't say anything more than a remark about the weather, and leaving the other party with their mouth hanging open, ignoring that too...

Of course, I see plenty of it elsewhere, it just seemed like it was the norm in MA. I suppose that's why we're called Massholes :)

I will be dvr'ing every moment of the Oscars - the preshow, red carpet, but more importantly....Hugh Jackman. Dear god...thank you for making Hugh Jackman.

:ole :makeout

Speaking of the Oscars... apparently, if I really, really wanted to, I could've gone to the show in person. Turns out the people who brought me overseas last year have an open invitation from someone in an administrative position. Maybe one year.
ROzbeans 17 years ago
Why am I not surprised by that?
Vishanti 17 years ago
...because opportunity tends to knock on my door when I'm on the crapper, making it less than ideal for me to answer? Anyway, they'd mentioned it to me last year, but they've already done so much that I'd feel like I was taking advantage. They're waiting on me to graduate so I can go into business with/for them.

Of course.
