I noticed that the SK had no problem opening the airlock, I would imagine you'd need some high security codes to do that. Not sure what it means quite yet though, I'll need to study.

This mean the SK got a mafia?

LOL sorry about the SK signature guys. I created that account like 2 months while prepping for this and I was just screwing around. It is not a clue in any shape or form.

In addition, Splaz has been around long enough to become disillusioned about the establishment and perhaps jealous of Teresa's success. Splaz has been through several armies (Hedgehog, Gibbon, Makak, Baboon, Goat):

...It wasn't about the buggers. It was about the possession of Earth and the strongest country with the smartest and most talented leaders of the future...only the teachers were fucking it up by looking to the wrong people, relying on past successes for future gain when really it was all foolish superstitions....
Turning to the side the figure zeroed in on the soft feminine breathing that had become their obsession. The undeserving, calculating and completely-unworthy-of-leadership female who, against the most predictable and obvious conclusions, continued to succeed at battle school and forge a path to Command school.

During his early launchy time however a new problem developed. Zenan seemed to have a strong animosity against most people who were put in charge of him. Fortunately this did not reflect badly on his own leadership skills, although it did cause him to be placed as a Toon Leader much later than he should have, and he has never been an Army Commander. Zenan started out in Ferret Army and was traded several times (Usually as a result of not getting along with superiors)

might be on to something here! watch out zenan!

about the codes for the airlock: all of the kids are trained in computer hacking. ender hacked his "desk" (i imagine this as like a portable star trek next generation computer interface for some reason) early on, but he wasnt the only one to do it. somebody else figured it out shortly after him, and i think bean did as well. many of the computer systems in the school were dummy systems set up specifically FOR the children to hack. so really, any of the children might have been able to hack an access code for the airlock. or maybe there was no code at all because it was in a restricted area (unlikely and irrelevent).

From the mafia hit:

The game is designed with realistic movement built in; you move the controls, the shuttle responds physically as well as on screen. Not that different from Chuck E. Cheese game rides…though much more sophisticated and purposeful.

Everyone agrees that the Chuck E. Cheese reference is completely out of place and HAS to be a clue. There's absolutely no other reason for it to be there.

From Domo's bio:

Domo awakens cowering under a table at the age of three accompanied by pizza shavings and the smell of dried coke. Visions of a ghastly creature covered in thick fur with a long pointy snout as he drifted into a subconcious state of panic and fear. As the loathsome creature began to chant, "Hey kids . . ." every muscle locked in his body as Domo grasped for anything to grip ahold on for dear life. His struggle was in vain for his father yanked him from the haven Domo so never wanted to leave while the monster roamed. He was held up and placed in the paws of the beast seemingly as a sacrifice to be devoured and given to the gods at any moment. The epitamy of his trepidation quickly took hold as death was surely eminant. Surprisingly nothing came to pass as fury whiskers tickled Domo's face and he began to stop quivering. Ironically, as it was time to depart he was in a state of bliss for he had overcome his fear and found a friend. Remembering the fury embrace, Domo mentally shivered as a coolness invaded his thoughts letting him know this was the first of many terrifying events to come.

I didn't realize it at first, because this bio is very very long, but this paragraph is almost certainly taking place in a chuck e cheese or something very similar. This is pretty much indisputable evidence that domo is mafia.

Holy crap Jin. I didn't see that.

I was also leaning toward this however, because of the statement that he "Had a screw loose."

Domo is one of the folks who repairs things. It seemed appropriate terminology. I just didn't think it could stand alone as a clue.

Wow, that's very interesting, on my first read through of Domo's profile it sounded to me like the family dog found Domo under the table, but this interpretation makes much more sense. Although I will say, it's a hard read. (who's ever heard of fury whiskers?)

that evidence is hard to deny

same here, i had assumed it was a dog or something at a family gathering, maybe his birthday parts. but the furry personthing saying "Hey, Kids" matches much better with Chuck E. Cheese
Rae 18 years ago
I originally thought Domo was the SK, but damn. A second clue that would then point in this direction is that Chuck E. Cheese was created by the founder of Atari. Lynn was killed by a joystick.
pharren 18 years ago
actually, i was suggesting that there were only 3, total. yes, it is an unusual number, but like i said, the number and names of the mafia members were compromised due to a forum error, hence the reissue of roles. perhaps the mods felt it prudent to switch things up more than just changing the names. it would remove any advantage the people who saw that hidden forum had. hell, i wouldnt be surprised if there were two SKs to make up for it, though im sure we would have noticed from the day 1 kill if there were.

Carrying her body inside and laying her down once more, the serial killer stepped back out and closed the door, signaling for the outer door to open.

Ok this stands out big time to me.

i forget what originally had put the idea of two SKs into my mind, but after seeing this "signaling" bit, maybe it wasnt just my imagination after all. who would the killer be signaling to? the door? i dont think so. two SKs would be very interesting indeed. nevertheless, i dont think thats what we are dealing with. how would the SK kill be organized? it would be like having 2 seperate mafias.

"breath" is mentioned twice more in the SK kill.

You have a fascination with "breath". Maybe it is just because you are ass high to most people and "breath" to you is simply ass fumes. :yesrly

i see more links to Domo here, as the SK (i know, he cant be both)

Surprisingly nothing came to pass as fury whiskers tickled Domo's face and he began to stop quivering.

With a slight tickle of fingers, the figure woke the chosen soldier.

but there is mention of "borderline hate mingling with great disdain", "deep-seated feeling of distrust, resentment and hate", and "the beating was vicious and unrelenting". who knows such hatred?

another probable clue:
marked with her blood like a badge of dishonor

i cant make any sense of it yet

so back to teh mafia kill ~ ~~ ~~

The Battle School Mafia closed in on Lynn, tailing behind her as she trashed the scant remains of her lunch and left the mess hall.

this stuck in my mind, but the only thing i can link it to is Spaz and his gold rubbish statue. sort of weak.

im feeling really brain dead today and thats all i can come up with. maybe ill get focused later on tonight (hopefully). for now though, my vote is going to have to be with Domo. the Chuck E. Cheese link is too strong, and theres really not much other evidence - especially not that compelling - floating around out there pointing to anyone else.

except Zenan.

i got my eye on you!

Does seem to be looking bleak for Splaz... adding Mash's points to my list...

  • 4'7" and 108 lbs - big enough to be forceful

  • Younger and male - fitting the holding hands thing

  • Trained in standing very, very still indeed

  • found abandoned as a baby on Christamas morn (Jesus reference... linked to Shepherd)

  • Macgyver-like experience using toys and appliances as escape tools - exactly the sort of person who'd make a noose from socks for example.

  • training in lock-picking to open doors (airlock)

Ok, yeah, Now I can definatlley see where you are going with this, but.....

"4'7" and 108 lbs - big enough to be forceful" Certainly not the biggest or heviest/strongest, that would have to be Domo.

"Younger and male - fitting the holding hands thing" errrr, we are all kids here.

"Trained in standing very, very still indeed" NOT trained in it, It was just something I did in my youth. Anyway this wouldn't help me be an assasin so much, as I make an awefull lot of noise as I move about (which is why I practiced standing still so much when I was very young, to hide my extreme levels of clumsiness when moving)

"found abandoned as a baby on Christamas morn (Jesus reference... linked to Shepherd)

Macgyver-like experience using toys and appliances as escape tools - exactly the sort of person who'd make a noose from socks for exam
"

I can't think of any counter-arguments to these two, other than the fact that they are both incredibly tenuous.

"training in lock-picking to open doors (airlock)"

Ok I was trained in lock-picking, this is true. But you dont _pick_ electronic locks, you need somebody with hacking skills here, or somebody who knew the codes ? Pharren ?

For me, the strongest link is the Domo - Chuck-E-Cheese - Atari - Joystick-in-Eye connection.

Then I will make sense of it for you. Blood is mentioned many times in my profile as are symbols and I believe this badge is a symbol as it is of blood and not a "real" badge. I hope you are all secure in picking me because once I die i assure you. You are all in for a very interesting treat.

Well, I would like the Jesus = shepard thing except that Jesus was a carpenter.

There are mutliple people who are good at mechanics or putting things together.

I think there are better clues for Domo right now.

From my understanding the Jesus = shepard idea was more in the direction of his birth when he was surrounded by "sheppards". Also birth and death often coincide as they are the ying and the yang so to speak one can not be had without the other.

obviously, but i didnt mean for the focus to be on the blood. i was thinking more of just the "badge of dishonor" part. who has been dishonored BESIDES ANDREWS FFS IM INNOCENT or has even been "called out" for being dishornable, or been dishonored in a public fashion? nobody that i can think of offhand. and i dont feel like re-reading the bios for the 500th time just yet. ;)

When I brought up that link, I meant it in this sense...

The Good Shepherd is a pericope found in John 10:1-21 in which Jesus is depicted as the Good Shepherd who lays down his life for the sheep. Similar imagery is used in Psalm 23. The Good Shepherd is revisited throughout the four Gospels in references to Jesus not letting himself lose any of his sheep.

From the SK
Turning to the side the figure zeroed in on the soft feminine breathing that had become their obsession. The undeserving, calculating and completely-unworthy-of-leadership female who,

Well with my bio being so long I guess I am not surprised this could be missed. A female is killed yet in a romantic sort of way. Her body is given to the stars. Clearly Domo has some issues with women as he does with many other things. Now from my bio

"She lays her head beside the stars.
Her hair as black night.
The songs of space carry on her breath,
she breathes in the light.

Across the universe she lays,
her body maps the skies.
To see heaven without death,
look deep into her eyes."

"I will journey the landscape
from the earth to far above.
I will be drawn into your breath.
And be with you, always, my love.

You are space and time.
You are yes and never.
You are my life and death.
You are my forever."

Her body is across the universe as she lays and her body maps the skies. Seems like some pretty damn good evidence in this poem that reflects the SK. Just some thoughts. Make of it what you will.
