I appreciate the post, Jet. I'm sorry I blew up but that particular piece means more to me than anything. Vex has always been a huge encouragement with my writing and that piece is of my main character. It also received a DD on deviantart. It just cut me deep to see someone fuck it up so badly.

Im not angry at you ROz, I know what art means to people. I have had replies to my post, two who said they are happy to remove any images they made that have copyright stuff in it. One said she always tries to look for non copyright stuff, but something may have slipped through.

And the third flamed me, saying I only told you so I could start a load of crap. And I'm like, suuuuuure, I have nothing at all better to do with my time than go out LOOKING for trouble. Asshole. -.-

You might point out that all art not done 100 or so year ago is copyright to someone. The difference is wether or not the artist gives their permission for it to be used. Unless an image clearly states that it may be used, they should either contact the artist for permission first, or just not use it. You could also point out that DA has a very extensive section of stock images, where the posters DO give their permission for them to be used.

ya know I have been meaning to for years to just make up a bunch of plain sigs for people to fill in on their own. Like dark elf, elf, human, barbs, dwarfs, gnones, night elf, bloodelf, etc MAke a few different styles and have a blank area and a tuta on how to make a decent looking signature .. wonder if that would still work , speciallly after seeing what people do to images like these guys lol
