New Moon!

Anyone else gonna go see this?

My daughter (who is 14) is insisting I take her. She's one of those Twilight addicts. LOL Posters everywhere, tons of t-shirts, etc. She read all the books. I have a feeling it will be just like the last movie... I will be sitting there watching this movie and she will be talking the whole time about "thats not how it was in the book!" stuff. LOL

Twilight was the first move Jen and her boyfriend went to see, so he has threatened my life if I decide to take her to the movie before she's able to.

I saw a pic of the girl who plays Alice when she was at the premiere, and HOLY MOLY is that woman GORGEOUS!! Her dress was really nice too. Sexy but not slutty

My daughter bought tickets to the midnight showing a couple months ago, and is taking the day off work to stand in line. Yea...I'm going, lol.

meh =\ I was never into this movie.

They need to just unleash Blade in part 3 on those characters to end the series in one huge gory bloodbath imo

You think everything should end in one gory bloodbath :P. Nobody likes a parade-rainer-onner!

But yeah, I chortled.

hah yeah, that Blade picture is awesome.

Is this the sequel to Twilight?

So someone level with me - is this really just a girly teenage romance movie? I'm a huge vampire fan, but I've been avoiding this one. I heard the books were good, but I looked at book one once and it was um....not a good start :P

*laughing* YES! It's a girly teenage romance movie! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!

But if you want a vampire fix, check out True Blood. The show is amazingly compelling.

I meant to netflix that and then forgot - thanks.

Yeah, this is a chick flick.

Vampires + chick flick = makes me sad in the pants
Vulash 15 years ago
I don't mind a good "chick flick" I just don't usually go for the ones aimed at the teenage crowd - not my style - go figure.

Vampires are a very romantic concept, what with the whole eternal love bit, plus the whole 'hey, if you let me drink your blood to stay alive, I'll let you drink my blood to get high" symbiotic relationship plus all those old fashioned manners and british accents. Plus you may get older, but them vamps, they stay the same age.

Also I don't know about the tall funny looking vampire but that werewolf boy is mmmmmgoing to be smokin' hot when he is of legal age.

I was actually going to bring up in the other thread that most of the female gamers I know tend towards Vampire then other games for the exact reasons you mentioned above.

I would definitely agree this is a teenage girl thing. LOL My daughters high school is even holding an after school event for this movie. They are having the "twilight' bus (school bus) pick folks up after school and driving out to the movie theater.

So is Vampire Diaries but I watch that cause Steffan and Damon are hawt. LOL

True Blood - its good. But Suki annoys the piss out of me. ROFL

I ate dinner at this place on the river near Portland where parts of the movie were filmed.

The girls at the dance studio want to go on Sunday.... I am demanding an early morning show to bypass the horde of screaming girls.

There are a lot of 'Twilight' moms out there though, and Taylor Lautner was talking about one on Leno the other night. While at some Twilight event some mom and her teenage daughter came up to him, and the mother told him she was wearing 'Team Jacob' panties, and asked if she took them off really quick, would he sign them for her. Apparently her daughter was mortified, and cried 'MOM!', to which her mom said 'It's okay, we do that sort of thing at these types of events'. Fortunately a nearby security guy stepped in and said 'No maam, we don't do that sort of thing here.'
!!!

The thing about the Twilight vampires is they're so different from all other vampires. They have no fangs, they can exist outside if the sun is hidden by clouds, etc. Not to mention the strange sparkle their skin has. I think the fang thing is what bothers me the most for some reason. I mean all vampires have fangs! It goes with drinking blood for heaven sake! Its a very watered down vampire tale (and I didn't care for the books either). But I can find enough entertainment in it to see the movies.

I like Vampire Diaries too, because its certainly a lot edgier than Twilight, and I think the brothers are way hotter than Edward.

I also like True Blood, and had a period of adjustment in getting used to Sookie. It was also kinda weird seeing Bill...a vampire with a southern drawl. But eventually it all fell into place, and there are just so many neat characters in that show to entertain you, I don't see how anyone could not like it.
