New Moon!
Anyone else gonna go see this?
My daughter (who is 14) is insisting I take her. She's one of those Twilight addicts. LOL Posters everywhere, tons of t-shirts, etc. She read all the books. I have a feeling it will be just like the last movie... I will be sitting there watching this movie and she will be talking the whole time about "thats not how it was in the book!" stuff. LOL

We just got back from seeing it. All I have to say is: I am Team Edward until Taylor Lautner turns 18 because good gravy...he's a nice young man.
(cough)
Pretty good movie, although I laughed my ASS OFF at the girls giggling over Jacob and his half nekkidness. I swear he had his shirt off like 80% of the movie - which at 17 I think that he is a nice boy who seems very healthy.
(cough)
The story was pretty good. The friend I went with said they really changed/cut out a lot, but she really liked the movie too. Catherine made me (I am such a push over) buy her a Team Edward shirt to rival her friend's Team Jacob one. AND I paid 10.75 for a medium popcorn and sour patches. Jesus. However, the very ending was superAWWWWWW mixed with a WHAT THE WHAT? hehe, good stuff. While walking out I said, 'THINK THERE WILL BE A SEQUEL???'

Odd, my daughter said the movie held to the book pretty true. I read the books as well, but don't have the ability to remember all that shit well :P All I know is I really liked it a lot, lol. And while I think Taylor is adorable, and Pattinson is rather meh, they're both still babies imm. ;)

I have no idea. I'm kinda glad I haven't read the books to be honest. The movies always disappoint me if I've read the book first. I almost walked out during Silence of the Lambs because they fucking combined two characters. WHO DOES THAT? I'll read the books after all the movies come out probably, like Harry Potter.

Being ashamed of finding him attractive is like being ashamed of having a fear of spiders, or fire, or drowning. You can't fight your instincts. Give in to your animal side! RAWR
It makes no sense anyways... the day before he turns 18 he's off limits but the next day he's fair game? How much difference can 24 hours possibly make?
Just to stay on topic somewhat: I have no intention of ever seeing this movie.

I don't think any grown man with an ounce of testosterone will ever want to see this movie lol. I came home and started telling Mike about it, he sat quietly in his chair playing wow. Then I said, 'are you listening?'
'No, not really.'
Jerk!
Although, I swear to god I couldn't believe when this guy's little 3 year old said in a quiet voice, 'I have to go to the bathroom.' It was during the kitchen scene near the end with Jacob and Bella. The dad got up and started to take her when the scene really started to get hot. Dude DRAGS HIS DAUGHTER BACK and makes her sit back down.
'But daddy, I have to pee.'
A few people kinda laugh. Aww, what a cutie, everyone's saying. BUT DUDE DOES NOT GET UP. So she says again...
'But I have to pee, daddy.'
Still nothing.
'I HAVE TO PEE DADDY!'. This little girl is now yelling, ruining the entire scene.
Finally his wife says, 'TAKE HER TO THE BATHROOM.'
Who the fuck does that?
'No, not really.'

Hey, Jacob is legal age where I come from :P
I haven't seen it yet, I had to work, but there was silly line ups for it. Good thing is by next week it'll be empty again, small town ftw :)

We're going to the 9:30am showing tomorrow. Since I fell asleep and missed the last 20 minutes of the movie, I really need to see it again :P

Saw it yesterday with my sis and niece at the 1:30pm show. There was only a small line but wow when we got out the 4:30 show's line was LONG. Having not seem Twilight or read the books I made Doey give me a synopsis of the story while we were in line. Totally loved the wolves... the vampires are meh (and I am always a vamp not were fan normally)
Liked the story, and it didnt seem too bad other than Bella's incessant depression / obsession. Sorry but that's not love.. which I had to explain to my 11 year old niece afterwards

I went and saw this last night... after the being totally disappointed with the first movie, because all they seemed to reference from the book was the character names, I was surprised and happy to see that they somewhat followed the book. Overall, I enjoyed it.
Team Jacob, btw. I would consider statutory rape. Damn.
The chick who plays Bella makes her even MORE whiny in the movies. I mean, Bella in the book is annoying enough until the last one, but jeeze, stop with all the exasperated breathing already.
Anyway, I had to laugh when they showed Edward shirtless at the end. He looked so pathetic after seeing Jacobs hard body half naked throughout the majority of the movie lol.

All I could think of when Taylor Lautner was in Twilight was "omg Sharkboy!". In the trailers for New Moon, my thoughts were more like, "whoa, Sharkboy??" :teehee
Seeing it the Friday after Thanksgiving with Jen and Justin... lord help me...

http://www.cnn.com/2009/SHOWBIZ/Movies/11/22/boxoffice.newmoon.ew/index.html
(Entertainment Weekly) -- "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" grossed an astounding $140.7 million at the box office this weekend, exploding most industry expectations en route to the biggest autumn opening weekend in history and the third biggest three-day debut ever, according to early estimates from Hollywood.com Box Office. ("The Dark Knight" still retains the record for the biggest weekend debut with $158.4 million, and "Spider-Man 3" is second with $151.1 million.)
The second film in Summit Entertainment's blockbuster franchise outright doubled 'Twilight's' opening weekend of $69.6 million, and it did so almost entirely with a female audience: A whopping 80 percent of "New Moon" tickets went to women. Theatergoers were evenly split between those under 21-years-old and over, and they were clearly satisfied, giving "New Moon" a solid "A-" CinemaScore rating.
Despite the film's sharp drop from its record-setting $72.7 million opening day ? "New Moon's" Saturday total was $43.2 million, and it's estimated to take in $24.8 million on Sunday ? it's abundantly clear that Bella, Edward, and Jacob have plenty to howl about: Worldwide, "New Moon" raked in $258.8 million.

OK, am I the only one that thought the movie was wonderful, but they missed/messed up some key points to the story? Seems to me if you haven't read the books you'd be almost lost in half the scenes. The emotional parts just weren't as high up the pedestal I put them on. I think I was more upset than Bella in the woods. :(

Yeah my friend had to lean over and explain a few things to me.
Some SPOILERS
Bella in her depression with the months counting by.
The ability to hide things from the Voltari or whatever they're called.
The Voltari, hehe.
Personally, I think going in without seeing the movie made it more enjoyable for me. Vex has told me the gist of most of the storyline but I'd rather wait to read the books, myself.
