ROUND 3 OOC

This space for rent.

I know this was kind of mentioned before, but I took it a little further:
Taking a finger, the person dipped it into the bag and brought it up to their mouth. ‘Oh that’s cocaine. Believe me, I’d know.’

‘Easy to get for you, I suppose.’

The person smiled and raised an eyebrow knowingly.

Who would be able to easily get cocaine? Or is it just the Mafia in general would be able to get their hands on some? I'll look for clues to that in bios in a bit.
(Side note: Yes, Nichole has had experience with pot and cigarettes since she turned 13, but has NEVER tried anything beyond that. She did pop a couple pain pills once, didn't like the feeling she got, and hasn't done it since)

The person smoothed a hand over their head and then pounded on the door again with a fist.

Does this mean the person could be bald? I RL I could try to smooth a hand over my head, but it seems funny with a full head of hair... Just a thought. Maybe this person has very slicked back hair or a tight ponytail? Or no hair at all?

He could make a break for it, maybe he could incapacitate the one in front of him, then maybe he could…

Could mean the person in front of him is smaller or looks weaker? I wouldn't think he would think he could incapacitate someone who's a lot bigger than him.

Name: Boris Sevnik

Character description: Boris is Russian. Boris is an old school Leninist and completely convinced that Capitalism is a tool of the devil. He stands just short of six feet tall, is bald headed, thin as a rail, and is completely compulsive about eating breath mints and smoking menthol cigarettes. He dresses only in formal or semi-formal attire, and prefers bowlers to any other sort of head adornment. He has several notable scars on his face and hands, not from any terrible life style or mob like activities, but because he's an ardent chef AND suffers from narcolepsy. Today he is wearing a dark gray suit, blue tie, and matching blue gators. He wears no jewelry as he considers it effeminate.

Could match with a couple of the clues... and most of us were leaning towards Boris being Mafia anyway...

Haha someone always beats me to something while I'm busy typing everything up. At least someone else caught the 'bald' reference.

I do it btw, and I have hair - but I think you guys might be on to something

Oh! Something struck me as I was reading Pharren's comments. Who would have easy access to cocaine? Well, there's the druggie Spencer, Nichole has had an 'interesting' past, which might have included drugs, and she has 2 out of 3 boyfriends in jail (but for what??), Danielle (though it's a stretch) could possibly since her boss is known as a playboy. Who knows what all those crazy playboys get into. Jeremy possibly... fast cars, likes to go fast, blah blah blah. Kal Mando is another possibility given his line of work. Law Enforcement and Govt agencies see drugs a lot, and evidence rooms are not always the most secure. (husband was in the army and did drug raids along the border, so I know that heh) Jayden is throwing her life away, doesn't care, maybe drugs? And like I said already, Spencer is a druggie.

Also thought something inmportant from Shahara's post. She has a hat, gloves and scarf in her bag. She could use them to disguise herself rather easily (oh and a sweater) and they could also be used to make footsteps really quiet.

Ok here we go:

- If Ruth turns out to have been the SK I'll eat my crow. If that is the case - then the only way to use that days voting to our advantage is to string up Gongaa and see if we get a clue about whether or not he is mafia - if he IS mafia, then there are a lot of Ruth voters that are mafia - otherwise we learn nothing. It's risky because we could learn nothing anyway. Just thinking aloud.

- Hearts were mentioned again in the mafia hit. Hearts have been mentioned in every mafia kill, but not in any SK kills or lynchings. I find this significant after this many. I think that points to Gongaa unless I'm missing a reference

- Used the Agent's gun. Vudu specifically mentions noticing the gun. I'll comb his bio soon - but between that and the "remains quiet and studies peopel" which is EXACTLY what one of the mafia did in hit 1 - I'm starting to be convinced. I'll compile his damning evidence after I finish this.

- "be able to catch a cab or rail across town" - I find the use of the word "rail" interesting - maybe it is because I'm not from the city but I rarely hear people say that. There is an ex train conductor amongst us I think.

- someone was sneaky to nab his briefcase like that

- why did he look up?

- the locks were snapped? or just snapped as they were locked?

- I see the word freeze and cold stuff a lot in mafia hits

- I can't thikn it's a coincidence that the mafia went and got a pen to poke the hole - personal secretary type?

- "taking a finger"

- Obviously the cocaine references mentioned - Oh hi Greywood

- Well women wouldn't want more women (I know they could, but no one says they're a lesbian in their bios) so this leads me to believe there are more men within the mafia

- tiniest little crack - who has the smallest butt crack? I jest I jest

- I'll have to think on the high school and more creative references

- I'm confused how he got kicked in the solar plexus - back against the door (which puts his back to the door) then feels the bullets in his back. Oh and through the heart of course.

Ok let me take some time to go through bios

I'm going to be quite frank - the cocaine references are VERY obvious, and would point at one of a couple of people only. The fact you're trying to pull "it could also be this person because their ex was in jail once" makes me wonder if you aren't defending one of those couple of people.
Kilandra 15 years ago
hm, not quite sure I get what you mean by trying to defend one of the people? I'm not asking because I'm trying to avoid it, but because I really don't understand. Thanks!
Kilandra 15 years ago
Yeah, I was also wondering how he got shoved against the door and shot in the back. Unless getting shot in the back is a metaphor ?

That's exactly what I was thinking as I read this. Not just because it was directed towards me, but because it was quite a stretch. It seemed really out of place for some reason. So did the comment about Sahara having gloves, hats, etc... I just thought it was a real push.

From what I got from the hit is that there is a SWAT team outside, but the bank is on lockdown so they can't get in. And (from watching too many movies) most of them post up outside around the perimeter... That's who I thought was saying "back away for your own safety". Someone from the mafia shoved him against the door, but the actual Swat team outside did the shooting...

It does say that the bank is made from glass and steel so wouldn't the people outside be able to see in? And how did the mafia members not get hit if SWAT was shooting from the outside... even though it said they are sharp shooters.

or am I completely wrong? lmao just thinking out loud

Ah! I think that's right - they did keep saying "step back from the door". Ok this clarifies a lot I was reading it differently. So then Alex was the sharpshooter, or one of them.
Kilandra 15 years ago
it was completely random, because I was typing as I was reading through peoples bios. But, take it as you like. Why the shahara comment? Because it struck me as weird that she had a hat glove scarf and sweater in her bag. Not really to do with this particular thing, but I'm also using these threads as kind of notes. Maybe I shouldn't *shrugs*
Kilandra 15 years ago
Rereading Vulash and Ksagag's comments about my comments made me think something else. Why is it so much of a stretch? Maybe it's just how I grew up, as I was not around drugs or alcohol at all, but if a person has two out of three past boyfriends in jail, even if we don't know for what, a criminal element is just that. It might include drugs, so why is it THAT much of a push, or a stretch?
pharren 15 years ago
I took it as Alex/Luc took over the SWAT bodies *after* the kill... not that it matters.

Pharren
With a sigh, the monotone officer replied, ‘Meh. No quote this time?' -- Did the other Luc and Alex appearances all feature quotes? I wasn't really paying attention, until whoever pointed out whoever quoting whoever in the lynch. Did they all have quotes? And, who were they quoting?

No bible verses; I think that's what this means. So is Alex saying that it would be "too easy" significant?

Wow, we're getting cutthroat in here aren't we lol. ;) As I have never played this game before I was trying not to step on any toes so I'm sorry if my comment upset you. I guess I just added that part about the exes in as an afterthought and it told you a little about how Nichole transitioned into how she is today. I was just surprised to see it given much importances because I honestly didn't have anything in mind for what they would be in jail for lol. But I guess it's all about how others and Roz interpret our bios.

As for the Sahara comment, I just thought it was brought up in a weird way or kind of out of context-ish. But I understand using this thread as notes-to-self as well, because I do it too. Most of what I put here is random rambling as I try to figure this all out...

I took it as Alex/Luc took over the SWAT bodies *after* the kill... not that it matters.
That's what I was thinking also, since they took over the dead bodies of the security guards.

Ok thoughts as I read bios:

- Nadiya is scared and alone - something repeated in the lynch a lot. I think we got the SK, but if not maybe it was a clue that Nadiya is?

- I really want to think Myraan is a townie after the botched lynch, but there are clues everywhere for her. Besides the previously mentioned - she carries a mirror which was in the first 2 mafia hits and the constant twitching in the kills. She's also an artist which I think has been hinted at - or at least creativity

- I'm skipping Boris since he should just die of natural causes

- Shahara - red hair is still a theme - housewife would fit some of the more kitcheny/cooking scenes - pretty skimpy bio though

- Ernest - "His solid belly is his center of gravity" could be the planet earth reference and "Occupation: Retired Amtrak Conductor" when we have a rail mentioned, and finally he has 5 pens - when they used a pen to open the cocaine bag - to me seems like not a "natural" detail for writing that scene

- Nichole - she's mafia. I'll just do a seperate post same for Vudu. I'd be up to 80% sure on each.

- Joel - conformer

- The professor - coming to secure a lockbox - weren't those.. nm that was the lynch scene

Finally got my net back yay! Interesting Mafia kill.....and the drug reference is a big thing obviously but...

1) Spencer is broke and lives off of meager checks from his mama so most likely couldn't afford cocaine but he would definitely know what it was (its a shame the briefcase was stolen or else he would be in heaven!)

2) Almost no clues point to anything in my bio other than ones that fit like 8 people..like having a knife

My thoughts on people that have access to cocaine:

Someone working for a high powered executive might
Anyone that works in the medical field...maybe administering drugs to animals

I need to reread the hit again and start looking and go back through the bios.

Taking a pen from one of the teller stands, one of the group poked a hole in the bag.

‘Aw, come on,’ Mr. Smith sighed.

Taking a finger, the person dipped it into the bag and brought it up to their mouth. ‘Oh that’s cocaine. Believe me, I’d know.’

‘Easy to get for you, I suppose.’

The person smiled and raised an eyebrow knowingly.

‘Well what do you all want?’

‘Us? Oh…’

‘Divinity…’

‘Fame…’

After reading again, the fact that someone went and picked up a pen seems like a clue to me so I went back and found everyone with pens:

Name: Reginald Fleischer
Items in your pockets/purse: A wallet with 206$, credit cards, drivers license, various business cards. He also has car keys, a cell phone, and chewing gum. In his shirt pocket is another pen.

Name: Ernest Freeman
Items in your pockets/purse: Rollaids; five pens; photos of Mrs. Freeman, his kids, and his grandkids; a grocery list, a lottery ticket, $100 in cash, AARP card, Medicare card, Sam's Club card.

Items in your pockets/purse: She's carrying a ratty old purse that has obviously seen better days. She can't remember, but thinks she bought it around 6 years ago. Inside she has her billfold ($14 and some change, ID, 2 credit cards that are maxed out, random receipts, an extra lip ring, and a note), 3 different types of lip-gloss, a pack of cigarettes, 2 lighters, a compact/mirror, and a few pens.

Name: Ella
Items in your pockets/purse: Wallet with driver's license, credit cards, student IDs, BevMo! card, library card, and a bunch of receipts - Less than $3 in change. Cell phone, Zune, keys, switch blade, mace, notepad, pen, half of a bagel (The actual contents of my purse right now xD)

Name: Danielle Martin
Character description: Tiny, pixie-like girl with short brown hair, tanned olive skin, and blue eyes
Items in your pockets/purse:
Dani carries an impressive Gucci purse that seems to have everything. An egg-shaped sewing kit, a first aid kit in a film canister, a shoe repair kit shaped like a tiny shoe, an extra pair of nylons, mace, a key chain with 12 keys and a key chain that says I love my Basset Hound, a meal bar, gum, mints, clear nail polish, an emery board printed with little kittens, panic button, rape whistle, tire pressure reader, a small box of crayons, pen, pad of paper in the shape of a basset hound, a small bottle opener, a multi tool, napkins, Kleenex, receipt book, coupon book, wallet with cash, credit cards, store cards, and medical cards, a blackberry, a mobile phone, a hands-free earpiece, and a bottle of water.
Dani is also carrying a take-out bag that contains a pulled-pork BBQ sandwich, a tub of coleslaw, and a bottle of coke.
She also has a phone number scrawled on a post-it in her pocket

And also, is it legal for a person like Boris to send votes in PMs? I saw where Roz said to send votes and SKIDS to her via PM but that may have been a typo. I'm just curious because I would have thought Boris would be dead or at least in a coma by now.
