ROUND 7 - OOC DISCUSSION

Lynch/Mafia - Keriath

My biggest issue with dropping everything right now, saying "fork it", and siding with Vulash is that in order to do that I have to:

1) Ignore the glaring "comfortably worn" ref in Pharren's bio
2) Ignore the Zookeeper ref in Gongaa's bio (less of an issue since I'm prepared to do that anyway)
3) Accept that Boris wasn't mafia despite it looking oh so much like he was
4) Acknowledge that the Sheriff is alive despite evidence pointing to them being dead
5) Why aren't the mafia leaping all over 1) to discredit Vulash's team?
6) Something I'm bound to have forgotten but will remember upon seeing the mafia list at the end ;)

Well people did jump all over to discredit me

Re: #5 -- People realize my fashion sensibilities would never allow that clue to be an actual clue ;)

I don't mean generally, I mean specifically the "comfortably worn" thing. Given how tenuous the clues pointing to Sara were last round - scars which are barely noticeable, half a bagel etc, seems to me that having the EXACT PHRASE used in the hit in Pharren's bio ought to be a HUGE MASSIVE BIG DEAL. Yet it's kinda getting ignored.

edit @Pharren: So having the exact phrase is no big deal because you're fashion conscious and yet having barely noticeable scars is OMG JOKER REFERENCE? Please. We've lynched townies on FAR less incriminating things than that.

It doesn't bother me that you're not bothered - you wouldn't, you know your role. But it bothers me that no-one else is bothered. As I said, I'd have thought the mafia would be all over it - unless they have a reason not to be, of course.

I agree with you, and don't understand it myself.

Sara's evidence was more OOC.

it's only two words - I guess that is technically a phrase, but I've seen 2 or 3 word phrases in other scenes that were in a bio and didn't post them - it might just be our perception of their importance I guess. I'll reread the bio - I haven't since Verileah posted that, but then again I'm convinced she is mafia and dont' really feel like having her plant doubt in me. Also I thought the first aid kit was a bigger deal.

Pharren specifically put the words "comfortably worn" in quotes in his bio - hence why the clue stands out so much.

Oh, well I guess Roz has just answered my concerns.

Yup, game over. 4-4, mafia wins. All the stuffs coming up.

Everyone was amazingly bright and capable, congratulations to everyone for playing a cunning and passionate game.
Vudu 15 years ago
Yes everyone was great with their roles who ever you are....

AND A BIG ROUND OF A HAND FOR ROZ HER FIRST TIME MODDING!!! WOOOOO:bunny2:thumbsup:clap
Vulash 15 years ago
I guess the biggest clue was "wine and women" and that originally lead me to think the mafia had to be mostly men, but I kept finding clues that pointed otherwise and no one else seemed to like that idea so I slowly gave it up...oh well

I will say:

Well played

Is it rubbing salt into the wound to quote this? I can't stop myself, it's too good :D

Binky I hate to say it but you just got influenced pretty heavily, and I'm fairly certain we've lost the game. We'll know for sure once the skids come back.

Woop woop woop!
pharren 15 years ago
He wasn't wrong though: neither of them were Mafia.
Wystro 15 years ago
To give him credit, Vulash may have been receiving bad information. Misstatements may have been made, and innocents may have been injured as a consequence. I think the last thing we should do in a Mafia game is to start pointing fingers!

Man, the 2nd scenario, apart from Vulash being the GF, that had me worried looks like it came to pass. We had discussed that Eve was probably the sheriff and trusted Wystro from the start. She gets offed, he steps into her spot...and the rest is history =x
CaptainBinky 15 years ago
It was a comedy finger poke, that's all. Just the line about me having been influenced struck me as amusing given the result.

Certainly not pointing fingers, this game is impossible to determine truth - the important thing is that it was fun! :D :D :D
