This is not necessarily a vent thread - far from it. This is about saying anything - weather, the bird outside your work window, the fundamental differences between Mormons and catholics, how Law and Order Criminal Intent doesn't get the props it deserves, that I always forget whether it's 'it's' or 'its', that my daughter has a beautiful smile and the first guy that breaks her heart - I'm breaking his knees...it's about anything.

Worried about my father in law. He might have had a stroke this morning, theyre airlifting him to a town 60 miles away so it can't be good ><

Hubby says he thinks he will be ok, but he hasnt told me anything at all really, so its incredibly frustrating.
His dad is nearly as stubborn as he is about going to a doctor or hospital though, and we suspect he might have had a stroke before because he was having trouble using his left side a little over a year ago.. and he wouldnt go to a doctor to find out. So it had to be something pretty significant for them to not only go to one but two hospitals and take a helicopter today.

finally got a call from David. He says his Dad lost movement on one side and his face was slack on one side, but that hes improved a little since this morning, so he's hoping he will continue to improve as time passes. But they said that the brain damage he got was permanent since it had been so long from the time he stroked til the time he was put into the hospital, so I dont know. I hope he's able to take care of himself, they dont need this, they just lost their daughter not 5 months ago, its too much.

:( It is too much. I'm very sorry Lessa. My mom had a stroke when I was 7 and lost all use on the left side and was in the hospital for a year. From what she told me it was a BIG stroke and although she's not fully recovered (she forgets if she has something in her left hand, forgets stuff easily, things like that) she did take good care of herself for a while. Just hope he can stubbornly dig into physical therapy and learning to overcome the damage.

They'd have to pay the taxes, and prolly all the bills on that beast of a home! They were discussing the same thing on the talk show i listen to in the Mornings Drew & Mike on the WRIF. Oprah bought Gail a big arse home as a gift. It would be the first thing I'd want to do if I came into a ton of money. But how do you approach that?

We pay property taxes every year based on the value of the property at the time of the purchase.

Here in VA it's based on the value of the house, tho that is determined by the county and not an actual appraisal. This last one they actually brought the price back down, but time before that they had jacked the prices up way above where they should have been, and boy did people get pissed.

we pay property taxes too, double what anyone else around here pays.. cause the assessor heard we paid full in cash for our house so figured we could afford it.. *grumble*

The 3 1/2 yr old has pink eye in both eyes. wtf. This morning he came in my room with both eyes closed and toilet paper that was half wet and asked me to wipe his eyes so he could open them. (my question is how did he go get the tp and get it wet with no eyes?) He was gunky all day and now I just got home from work and both eyes are pink. He says they are itchy. GROSS.

Haha I had that a couple years ago when I was still living with my dad. Try getting down from a bunk bed when you can't open your eyes lol. And my little sister called me demon eyes all day like the charming little person she is....

In the middle of the night the cat had a 5th kitten and she came out and walked around a bit and got some extra love so I snuck in and took a picture of the kittens. I think we shall call them Murphy, Thomas, Molly, Harry and Barley (Kami wanted that one!) I think my neighbors might take one of them and I dunno about the rest. I doubt Erik would be convinced of having 5 cats in the house. Especially since the mama is a stray we just let hang around our house. Who knows! Here's some cuteness!

Theres eye drops specifically for pink eye, i forget what theyre called, but you can get them over the counter at any pharmacy. My son got pink eye super bad when we first moved here, in both eyes and missed like 3 days of school for it.

really? We had to have a prescription to get the drops. They were behind the counter at Walgreens. Now to get the kid to hold still. He was brave for the first dose but i doubt it's going to last for 5 days

So Guy's wife has had 2 seizures in 2 days after not having one at all for over 8 years :( So I had to play Mommy this morning and get the kids off to school, wow do I hate getting up so early lol. No coffee in the house.
