Say Anything.

'Say Anything' is a John Cusak/Cameron Crowe 1989 teen flick. ' A noble underachiever and a beautiful valedictorian fall in love the summer before she goes off to college.' This is actually not what this thread is about, but the message is the same.

Actually no it isn't, I just like imdb.com and the title sounded interesting. /snort

This is not necessarily a vent thread - far from it. This is about saying anything - weather, the bird outside your work window, the fundamental differences between Mormons and catholics, how Law and Order Criminal Intent doesn't get the props it deserves, that I always forget whether it's 'it's' or 'its', that my daughter has a beautiful smile and the first guy that breaks her heart - I'm breaking his knees...it's about anything.

So, say anything.

Looking to offend as many people on my Facebook friends list as possible in one shot... OFFEND EVERYONE: GO!@

I dunno how to outline text with Gimp so I had to create a path from the selection and stroke the path (oh yeah, baby!) which didn't work out so well. But hey. It's Han Solo, so who really cares?

I think he needs a Santa hat.

Oh, man... I should have consulted with you before. A Santa hat would have been ***AWESOME***. I can envision the confused looks on my family members' faces now...

Blue canary in the outlet by the lightswitch; who watches over you? Make a little birdhouse in your soul.

I forgot how awesome this song/video is until it came up on shuffle on my iPod. Downside of having a gazillion songs I guess.

Made it to Colorado springs, unfortunately both mike and I are suffering from altitude sickness. So awesome.

Weird, never bothered me when I first went there for a visit to meet Kev, coming from North Carolina. Wonder why it's messing with ya'll.

I'm posting just so that I stop being a non-poster!

I don't know but mike was throwing up the first night and I made the mistake of running two miles so we both laid around and did nothing since we were both so out of it. We're much better today. I'm achy but I don't know if it's from not working out for a week and all the driving.

Long version:

Wtf is up with altitude sickness?! We got here on the 28th and with 24 hrs mike and began suffering from nausea, fatigue, body aches, and dizziness. And no one told me going back to my normal workout routine would just about make my lungs burst. Anyway, today we're feeling a lot better but with body aches. Other than that, Colorado seems pretty nice hehe.

Those of you on Facebook should be able to see all the pictures I took crossing Washington, Oregon, Utah, Wyoming, but weirdly enough (probably to laying near death in bed) no pictures of Colorado hehe but the drive was absolutely awesome. Having lived on the west coast or near the pacific almost all my life, the gorgeous plains were amazing. No snow (thank god we just missed that) but we got a complete white out from the windy snow drifts. Winds in upwards of 55+ mph and stronger damn near blowing us off of I80 eastbound.

We had car trouble with both our cars visiting our parents but thankfully Mike's father is an awesome mechanic. Mike drove with Cat and our dog and David drove with me in the jeep. My legs were killing me on day two but I really enjoyed the drive.

Be online soon hopefully !

What's the elevation there? I thought altitude sickness started around 8000 feet and up? I know some people had issues on the drive to Flagstaff, which was 7000.

In February I'll be 12+ and I used to smoke so I'm a little concerned about that =/
Verileah 14 years ago
Is there some kind of oxygen chamber treatment you can do to prepare yourself for higher altitudes?
pharren 14 years ago
Fun fact of the day:

wikipedia article on nitrogen narcosis
Apart from helium, and probably neon, all gases that can be breathed have a narcotic effect, which is greater as the lipid

solubility of the gas increases.

You can totally get stoned off of air.
Vulash 14 years ago
There is a plant you can chew, I don't know about other things. I'm hoping living at 7000 feet gives me an advantage, but that's been over a year now
