Say Anything.
'Say Anything' is a John Cusak/Cameron Crowe 1989 teen flick. ' A noble underachiever and a beautiful valedictorian fall in love the summer before she goes off to college.' This is actually not what this thread is about, but the message is the same.
Actually no it isn't, I just like imdb.com and the title sounded interesting. /snort
This is not necessarily a vent thread - far from it. This is about saying anything - weather, the bird outside your work window, the fundamental differences between Mormons and catholics, how Law and Order Criminal Intent doesn't get the props it deserves, that I always forget whether it's 'it's' or 'its', that my daughter has a beautiful smile and the first guy that breaks her heart - I'm breaking his knees...it's about anything.
So, say anything.
Have you picked out a school for Catherine?
There are schools right in our area for both kids, in fact the house is right up against the new elementary school davidnwill go to. Cat's middle school is within a mile and I will enroll her next week. She's nervous but bored sitting around playing the 360 so I think she's ready.
We looked at like twenty houses but we're really happy with this one. Granite, 3k square feet, 3 car garage, finished basement...biggest house by far we've ever had. Can't wait!
Don't just go by the numbers of 1- or 5- star reviews on Amazon, especially if a product has a low number of total ratings, because some unintelligent people will give something a 1-star review because the package arrived late (or a 5-star review because it arrived on time; even more perplexing), or because the 3rd party vendor they bought it from wouldn't take back a defective product, as if that has anything to do with the quality of the product itself.
Other than that, thought, I find the Amazon ratings to be the most helpful when I'm shopping for something that I don't know much about. You just have to sift through all the reviews and see what about it people didn't like, and see if that will be an issue for you as well, and that's time-consuming :(
Also, I had a black labrador who did the same thing.
I agree about Amazon.
The ratings are generally very helpful. I dont look at the Stars of an item so much as I just read the reviews and see if its an item that suits me.
So it looks like I'll be heading to Argentina Jan 31st for two weeks. Now that it's actually here I find myself quite nervous. I've never really been out of the country (except just across the border in Mexico) and heading to a country that isn't one of the big stable ones is a bit scary I guess. Has anyone been there? I've been trying to read up on safety, and it seems most of the issues are just theft and loss of items or getting mugged. There are kidnappings for ransom, but those are rare. I'll be heading through Buenos Ares to Mendoza, and then out in the middle of no where doing my field work. I'll stay with the border patrol during that time, so other than meeting random people in our jeep in the country I'm guessing the worst spots will be the two cities and airports.
Dont get kidnapped by extremist!
but are aware that you're sleeping.
They suck.
I'm working totally in oils, so it should be exciting! Portland art audiences don't take to digital art, so I need to spread my wings =)
Wystro does art gallery in your home mean strangers in your house?
Well, yesterday Nancy Collins, the author of the series, notes me on DA and says she wants to use the piece for a cover for an ebook short story, how cool is that?
Thanks Vex, and Roz ;)
Juliane
I spoke with Nancy Collins about using your piece for a cover for a short story ebook.
What would you want for the one-time rights to use it as a cover image?
Best,

No clue how to respond to this.
