Say Anything.
'Say Anything' is a John Cusak/Cameron Crowe 1989 teen flick. ' A noble underachiever and a beautiful valedictorian fall in love the summer before she goes off to college.' This is actually not what this thread is about, but the message is the same.
Actually no it isn't, I just like imdb.com and the title sounded interesting. /snort
This is not necessarily a vent thread - far from it. This is about saying anything - weather, the bird outside your work window, the fundamental differences between Mormons and catholics, how Law and Order Criminal Intent doesn't get the props it deserves, that I always forget whether it's 'it's' or 'its', that my daughter has a beautiful smile and the first guy that breaks her heart - I'm breaking his knees...it's about anything.
So, say anything.
She has some friends, a pair of sisters almost a year apart, whose parents are insane. She and her sister are not allowed to come to my house because apparently my daughter did something to offend them, and they insist on an apology from her before they'll be allowed over. If you knew my kid, you'd know that the only way she could offend an adult is if the adult was COMPLETELY INSANE and not in the same world as the rest of us, soooo I told her it'd be a cold day in Heck (she knew what I meant) before I'd allow any apologizing on her part. Heck, even Cat and her sister don't know what the apology is supposed to be for!
*sigh* People are nuts.
That was last summer though, and we feel bad for her cause her home life is less than great and if we didnt let her come here she would be wandering town with her 4 yr old sister just cause they dont want to be at home. Last night though she ran over to the church before their youth group started and had her friends come over too. One boy, who is about a foot taller than me, was wrestling with the other kids in the room above, and the other girl was on the phone for like two hours to convince her boyfriend not to break up with her. lol. and I got to feed them all, again, thats not gonna last!
Al Roker had tweeted that he saw the new Star Trek yesterday and it was better than all the other movies. I replied with:
@alroker (gasp!) Even Wrath of Khan?? That might just be blasphemy, sir! However I am looking forward to the new movie!!!
To which Vex said:
(7:19:54 PM) VEX: i cant believe we're friends
(7:19:59 PM) VEX: you watch weird shit
(7:20:02 PM) rozbeans: lol
And Al Roker replied this morning with:
alroker@ROzbeans Watch and tell me if I'm right, alhough Wrath of Khan is good
(covers mouth and screams!!!))
grats on the acknowledgement though, that is pretty neat. :)
they all look like babies.. way too young to be admirals, captains or whatever it is that hes supposed to be, of a starship. Not that I care either way of course :p Star Trek was never really interesting to me.

It's a prequel - they're not high ranking officers, they're just cadets are the start of their career.
I thought that the other movies covered the introduction to Spock and all that?
If you're going to watch any of them, I'd recommend - 2, 3, 4, 6. Those were definitely the best of the old crew, 7 or 8+ are about the next generation and Picard.
Luckily though it never touched ground.
