Say Anything.
'Say Anything' is a John Cusak/Cameron Crowe 1989 teen flick. ' A noble underachiever and a beautiful valedictorian fall in love the summer before she goes off to college.' This is actually not what this thread is about, but the message is the same.
Actually no it isn't, I just like imdb.com and the title sounded interesting. /snort
This is not necessarily a vent thread - far from it. This is about saying anything - weather, the bird outside your work window, the fundamental differences between Mormons and catholics, how Law and Order Criminal Intent doesn't get the props it deserves, that I always forget whether it's 'it's' or 'its', that my daughter has a beautiful smile and the first guy that breaks her heart - I'm breaking his knees...it's about anything.
So, say anything.
Tristan's first basketball game was yesterday.. They lost horribly but it was alot of fun to go and participate and be social hehe. Im so glad hes in sports! He never would have joined anything like this back home.. They had to beg him to join track and BB this year.
Looks like I'm going to be staying up all hours of the night making mini pumpkin cakes and chocolate covered pretzel rods for my daughters student council bake sale thats tomorrow. Procrastinate? Yup! LOL
I would have started on this earlier but all the Walmarts I checked did not have the stupid pan I wanted. I NEEDED (ok just wanted it really really bad lol) this really cook pumpkin pan I saw online... Pumpkin Patch Pan so I could make these awesome little pumpkins. Had to drive over an hour away and finally found one at Michaels Arts & Crafts.. and it was the LAST fricking one! :hooray I even bought neat little boxes to put them in, and little doilies for the bottom of the box and everything! ROFL I told hubby not to let spend too much time in Michaels. HIS fault. ROFL
Luckily she's been drinking lots of water; can't seem to get enough even. I'm giving her all she wants, and she's eaten some things too, like noodles, grapes, ice cream...
I just hope that it's out of her system by Friday; there's a Halloween dance then, and of course Saturday's the big Halloween Party at her BF's house. *sigh*
Tristan's basketball game last week got cancelled cause the other team was all sick, luckily it hasnt touched us yet *knock on wood*
Hope she feels better ASAP /hug!
When we stopped laughing, I took her temp and it was 99.7; HELL of a lot better than the 103 I was getting the night before! The doctor said that she most likely hasn't been contagious since Monday AM, when her fever really started spiking up. I have no idea how that stuff works, so I'll go with that, and hope it's true.
The school wants her to be out the whole week; she won't be going to the dance. Her boyfriend is going to come over and watch movies with her Friday night. :D
I've read that you're contagious for like 5ish days after symptoms so that
is rough :( Glad she is feeling better though! Sweet of the boyfriend
Whatever the hell this is... it needs to go away!!
I sure hope all this swine flu paranoia helps break the expectations of most employers for you to come in to work sick or not. I always hated that and the way people act when you've been out sick a couple days.
And somehow I got suckered into taking the girls and their friends around for trick or treating. Everyones parents had to work. Erik had to work but hopefully he will be home before the girls go out and can take them around the neighborhood. It's like 20 degrees colder this year than it was last year ugh.
=/
I was hoping I'd feel better by tonight, but doesn't look like it. Not too upset though.. my mother in law is taking my son to some church events for halloween and my daughter (14yrs old) is at that age where she says she too grown up to do those kinda things so she'll be hanging around the house with mom and dad and our beautiful new dog! :D He's so fricking awesome!

Oh crap..that reminds me.... gotta run to the store and buy toilet paper! Got a house we gotta go TP tonight. :evil

Catherine's soon to follow.
