Say Anything.

'Say Anything' is a John Cusak/Cameron Crowe 1989 teen flick. ' A noble underachiever and a beautiful valedictorian fall in love the summer before she goes off to college.' This is actually not what this thread is about, but the message is the same.

Actually no it isn't, I just like imdb.com and the title sounded interesting. /snort

This is not necessarily a vent thread - far from it. This is about saying anything - weather, the bird outside your work window, the fundamental differences between Mormons and catholics, how Law and Order Criminal Intent doesn't get the props it deserves, that I always forget whether it's 'it's' or 'its', that my daughter has a beautiful smile and the first guy that breaks her heart - I'm breaking his knees...it's about anything.

So, say anything.

When people on my server are looking for a group for the Argent Tournament dailys, they say "LFG chillmanders". That makes me want to cut a bitch. Just had to get that out there.

If you are one of those people who says "chillmanders", stop. Or die. Die horribly.

*hug* Thanks fae, between my sis dying, everyone getting sick (davids finally starting to feel better) My computer crashing (hes saying its my mb.. and I dont have the $300 it cost to replace it :( ) and whatever else could possibly go wrong before the end of this month.. I think i can safely say this has been my worst month ever..

my thanks will be thin and few i think tomorrow :(
Vulash 16 years ago
Well I can't help with anything else, but most MBs shouldn't cost 300 - and even if you have some top notch one I'm sure you can find one that supports your other components for closer to 100 on newegg

Im not sure but I think when I bought it it was over 200, I dont think id want to downgrade, but its pretty likely that its depreciated since I bought it. I also want win 7 though, which would probably round it out to about that. I dont trust xp anymore, I completely blame it for the whole resetting thing since it was kicked off by their updates, and i was planning to get it anyway for my bday next month.

I also need something with two card slots to support my three monitors.

Christmas shopping sucks. Trying to find stuff for the girls SUCKS. So we're buying them $400 computers, cheap and decent enough to play the little flash games they like.

me , my aunt and mom went black friday shopping starting at 10:30 pm to head to ToyRus to stand in line for midnight opening then went to walmart and got home about 7:30am what a nite lol

Our town is so small it's WalMart of K-Mart for shopping so I just do alot of it online. I have no idea what 17 month old boys would like :( Kami made a 1 page list, Cece's had 4 items on her list and that's birthday and Christmas ><

So far James is getting a little ATV and a Mr. Potato head and probably some stuffed animals because he loves to snuggle his babies.
Faeini 16 years ago
yea alex is alot harder to shop for then clover , shes done lol she has to much as it is >.< and gotta get alex b-day stuff too O.o
Laschae 16 years ago
>< I'm up to about $1000 but that's $800 in computers and since we won't likely buy them new ones any time soon it only half counts right???! Mostly we wanted to get them because CeCe is starting middle school next year so she will probably need one for reports and things like that and we can't get CeCe something and not get it for Kami because Kami will flip. Oh and CeCe's 12th birthday is the 20th so I am getting her books and she wanted The Sims :D She's easier to shop for than any of them because she is happy with books and silly little things.

I'm getting Jamie a play tent with one of those tubes coming off the side and a bunch of little stuffed animals he can snuggle and carry around. Every cute stuffed animal we saw Erik was like ooh get that for him! But I limited it to 5. That's enough babies for James!!

Such spoiled little brats.

My boys are getting a ps3 and a bunch of games which we had managed to snag months ago and stashed away, so they are mostly done. Sarah is the only one I havent figured out, but she loves everything so hopefully it wont be too difficult. Dawson is the hardest between them all.. he loves sports and video games, and not much in between, and its too cold for sports.. or will be by christmas, and hes got the games.. so not sure what else to get him.

Yeah a lot of the stuff I would haev liked to have gotten for James is outdoor stuff and since I expect it to start snowing soon I didn't get them.B But I'm done shopping for them except for little stocking stuffer crap from teh dollar store and walmart. I got something special for CeCe (a necklace) because she's not a little girl anymore. :(

Catherine's xmas list comes out to about a grand. I'm not sure what makes her think we have that much money though =x We had to send her back twice to rethink her list.

'But can't Santa get it for me?'

'Catherine you still believe in Santa right?'

'Yes.'

'With all your heart?'

'Yes.'

'Well Santa has to stand in line at Toyz R Us like the rest of us and you're not getting that pocket rocket mini motorcyle. Ever.'

'Fine.'

I'm glad she still believes, but I think she believes more in my credit card limit than Santa.

I wish shopping for my kids was easier. I remember the good old days when they were little and daughter was happy with a $15 Barbies..and son was happy with $20 boxes of lego's.

OMG remember when your kids were little babies and no matter what you bought them, they were more interested in the box it came in than the actual toy? LOL

Daughters xmas list consists of a iPod Touch (at first she wanted an iphone like mom & dad have..HA NOT!), Nintendo DSi, PS3, iPod Nano (the one that takes video's), a new Flute so she doesn't have to keep using the school issued one, clothes from Aeropostale, anything Twilight.... thats not even half of everything she wants. :omg:

My son though... is only 9 (turns 10 on Dec 9th :D) and so his list is a little more feasible... mainly video games... and smaller, cheaper items. Both kids though want the new Tony Hawk game..the one that comes with a skateboard that acts like the wii balance board..so that we might get since both kids want it. Of course then there will be fighting over who gets to play it first. *sigh*

Now I remember why I hate Christmas. ROFL

Yeah Kami wanted an IPod, a DSi, a guitar, some video games, a computer and a Blackberry. I don't have a cell phone, the furthest they go from home is 2-3 blocks. She's trippin. We got them each a cheapy computer (which they are playing on right now) and $25 2GB MP3 player (no video or camera since they will get lost or James will eat them) and random stuff. I did get CeCe a $48 white/yellow gold moon and sun necklace because at nearly 12 (20th!!) things like toys will be outgrown in a year. Some video games and beanie babies for filler.

James made out like a bandit! Playtent, lil quad that runs on a battery and goes .9 miles an hour, and all sorts of fun stuff :D

I like buying them stuff but it seems like if I'm gonna buy them expensive stuff they have to really show some responsibility and Kami can't even keep from losing necessary things like her glasses (we're on pair 3 in 3 years).

I'd like to get Vue but probably won't.

We get tristan one of those pay as you go phones, out here its net10, noone else provides service everywhere. It works pretty well cause theyre cheap (not as fancy as a blackberry but they really dont need all that) and with tristan we tell him if he uses up all the minutes he is free to buy more for himself when he runs out hehe, which he is fine with. Kid usually has more money than I do. ><

I have to say I think that's a marvelous way of introducing kids to cell phones. Its amazing how responsible they can be when its their money they're spending. Or at least they'll learn quickly.
My 17 year old niece spent a couple weeks in Texas this summer, and charged up a phone bill of over $1000 texting her friends back in Canada! My BIL was NOT pleased, even after my sister got the phone company to drop the charges down to $700.
