Here is the picture to document her first spoiling. This is now THE position she wants to be in when fussy or just chilling. And if it's her dad holding her, there is no prying her off.

Here is the munchkin's birth announcement. She was the talk of the Labor and Delivery floor after this picture. She managed to sleep during me changing her, taking her to get the picture, the nurses taking pictures, the nurses talking with me, and me changing her back. LOL

I think I have my first gray hair..

I was giving Alison a bath due to her deciding to pee all over herself and the changing table again. I set her into the bath tub and was wetting her down, when she kicked against the back of the tub. She lays on a little raised up incline inside the infant tub. Well, when she kicked, she ended up dunking her head under the water. I was right there, so I yanked her up super fast. She was shaking and looked terrified. I held her close and called in Ryan. I think I got more scared than she was. It was scary to see just how fast one simple move can put the baby in danger. This even more renforced the need to always be by her side when she is in the tub. I'm glad I was there and looking at her when it happened. I'm so glad she is okay. I'm still shakey from it. She's happily nursing at the moment.

Aww, accidents happen, Lola. Mike did the same thing with Catherine when she was barely a month or so old. He picked her up by the toy bar of her bouncy seat, not knowing that it wasn't built as part of the seat but snapped on. He dropped the entire seat, Catherine included, about 3 feet from the ground. She was still small enough that all that happened was that she flipped upside down. I had her AND Mike crying. He was so scared to hold her the rest of the night, it broke my heart.

It's murphy's law with babies, that's for sure. What a scary moment, but welcome to parenthood lol! It's like a roller coaster without the seatbelts, I tell you lol. /hug

/nods emphatically at the 'accidents happen' part.
I was taking my daughter to the sitters when she was six weeks old, which meant it was winter, and she was all bundled up in a thick snow suit type outfit. I, on the other hand, was in a dress/skirt and heels.

I stepped off the sidewalk, and caught my heel between the lawn and the concrete, tripped, and flew forward, landing on my knees. My daughter flew out of my arms, about six feet, and landed on her back, on the sidewalk!

Once I gathered her up in my arms, and got to the sitters, I was literally sick to my stomach. I checked my daughter out, and called the doctor. The doctor then checked her out, mainly concerned about a concussion, but she checked out fine.

That was the 'first' of a few childhood accidents, but I can happily say we both survived them all with no permanent injury :)

Best baby invention EVER! This is the "baby throne" in the computer room. Alison is obsessed with knowing and seeing what's going on. Soo...we got her this:

She loves it. We love it. We have invested in re-chargeable D-cell batteries. All is well!
