Glad I could help. hehe. Best I understood was that the numbers for the three hour are higher/more sensitive. That drink SUCKS though. It's a higher sugar concentration. Thankfully I could sip water after mine. Alison thought it was the best energy drink....ever...especially since I hadn't eaten cause they had me fast.

I hope ya pass the 3 hour.

Yea I read up on the test after the doctors office called and I got over the bit of shock. God that stuff that make you drink is so gross. The last stuff made my throat burn so bad. Hopefully the fasting will help and I will make sure I watch what the hell I put in my mouth from now on. No more coke. It's gonna suck but it's what's best.

It really was helpful to know that maybe the next set of tests will go better. I can read all about it but until you know some one that's gone through it sometimes nothing can make you feel better. If that makes sense =P

It makes a ton of sense. I was floored when I failed my one hour. It was the only test I dreaded all pregnancy. I totally understand.

I hated the glucose test! The orange stuff I got was just so sickly sweet I wanted to die. Found out that the lemon wasn't as bad, least for me. Failing the 1 hour was horrible and they told me if you were at all dehydrated that could mess with the results... Made sure I wasn't for the 3 hour and no problems.

Good luck with the 3 hour though!

That makes sense. I have been drinking between 5 and 7 big glasses of water a day and before I would be lucky if water touched my lips all day. I figured at the very least drinking water would clean up my system and give them the best results. I remember the lemon flavored stuff from being pregnant before and it wasn't so bad just like flat Sprite but that orange crap made my throat burn. Maybe the hospital will have different flavors. I have to go in Wednesday at 7 am for the test. I haven't quite figured out how the kids will get to school without me here but they know how to read a clock!

I had the fruit punch both times. Wasn't too bad taste wise, but I still can't even fathom drinking fruit punch now.

You would think they would have gotten back to me with the results sooner! All clear, no nasties, no diabetes! Hooray! We had another ultrasound yesterday and he's measuring right where he should be. They did one of those 3d ultrasounds and those things are so weird. He's in a funny position, nearly laying on his tummy sort of facing my side so we didn't get a good picture. I labeled it since it's kind of like looking at a 4 year olds idea of art :P

He gots chubbeh cheeks :D

Wow that is hard to tell what's what. Congrats on passing your tests though, I bet that was a HUGE relief =D

The funny thing is before the doctor switched it to 3D I saw the baby's face and he didn't take a picture of it! I need to change the baby ticker ... I changed my mind, he's gonna be born on the 20th. Unless he decides to come on his own before then. So 31 days of swollen feet, heartburn and no sleep. Yay. I hope to God that once he's born my hips will stop killing me. Walking, sitting, laying down is all pain.

We've nearly, possibly, settled on a name....but I'm one of those people liable to change my mind at the last minute. So as of right now today his name will probably be Nathan James. I keep flip flopping on the two names because I can't decide which will be best.

How's David doing Roz? I hope he's doing well.

:-x I think Erik is nesting. Last night he flipped out because the house is messy and made a list of chores for the kids to do. Of course the list is pretty much clean the entire house and I can't just let them actually clean the entire house. So I've been cleaning since he left (2 and a half hours ago) but have only managed to get the kitchen done. No it wasn't really that messy but my hips are all sorts of effed up so it takes me twice as long. In between cleaning, feeding the kids and the dogs, I'm already exhausted.

If we ever buy another house it will NOT be a 2 story house! I can't lug the damn vacuum up and down the stairs. :rant Damn men!
Lessa 17 years ago
you need to talk him into getting you a second vaccum! ( one for up, one for down) :)

ooh, or a roomba! I love my Roomba
Laschae 17 years ago
We have two of them but one is a shop vac (the one I was stupidly using) and the other doesn't work as well. I stopped trying to clean when I got a call telling me the school was sending Kami home. She isn't really sick sick, apparently she threw up her breakfast but she's been sitting on the couch since 9 am playing the xbox.

I dunno what he flipped out about. The house wasn't that bad really. Just messy but not the mess he made it out to be. If he isn't happy with what I got done today he can kiss my fat ass I deserve a break.

hehe boy needs to get you a real vacuum.. one that works! and yeah you shouldnt be lugging it around.. you know better! :p

johnson and johnson bed time bath. You need it. It is a life saver.
Laschae 17 years ago
So you mean the tranquilizers I've been stock piling are no good? :cross Oh you mean for the baby! I wish I could borrow some ones baby so I could teach Erik how to do basic things like baths, burping, etc. I know he will get that hang of it but I'm not the patient teaching sort.
Lolanae 17 years ago
Oh, not to mention the entire dealing with every kind of bodily fluid imaginable deposited on you and the WORST times. LOL
Laschae 17 years ago
I'm not going to tell Erik about that. It should be an amusing surprise when the baby goes pee or poo mid diaper change. Or mid bath time. Man I remember CeCe pooing in the tub what a fun time!
Lolanae 17 years ago
LOL - It took Alison 5 and 1/2 months to finally poo in the tub. Gag.

DH didn't warn me of all the fun. LOL. I've become so immune to it now. lol. Especially after she had major stomach issues.
Laschae 17 years ago
I don't even think it phased me the first time one of the girls pooped in the tub. When CeCe was maybe a month old I woke up in the middle of the night to feed her and went to change her and ducked just in time to miss the projectile poo. I don't know if Erik will remember that story when he has to change the baby but I'm not going out of my way to remind him of it. Far too much fun to see him cry over getting soaked.

I think we got state insurance. I wasn't really clear on what was happening but the lady gave me a paper to give to my doctor so I could show him I had the insurance and not to bill me. Erik missed alot of work trying to come in under their requirements so I hope for my own sanity that this is real. The lady also told me I could get WIC so if breastfeeding doesn't work out there's a safety net since formula is expensive. So hopefully this baby won't cost me anymore than he already has.

I had Erik finally set up his swing. Erik spent all weekend off and on going over to it and turn it on and messing with it. I kind of didn't really pay that much attention to what the swing can do when I bought it. I just thought it was cute. But it has like 4 songs and 4 speeds and a mobile that moves with the music. Spoiled baby!

So now it's just a waiting game.
