Just got home about 20 minutes ago. Kind of woozy from the pain pills so I will just post this real fast and will write more when im a bit more coherant.

His name is James Aiden he was born 6/20 at 8:20 am, 7 lbs 12.5 oz, 19 inches. Very nice baby so far, not fussy very much. :)

:tired Thanks guys :) Everything went ok with the c-section. They had a very hard time finding a vein to get the IV in and then once that was over it took the Dr. 45 minutes to get the epidural in. I guess I was a little bit swollen all over and that made it hard. Once they got it in the c-section was ok. Lots of pulling to get him out he had himself wedged in there good. He's a pretty good baby. Sleeps like a pro not too fussy but he isn't really getting the hang of breast feeding so we've been giving him bottles once he gets too frustrated to try and nurse. Going to get a pump tomorrow so that if nothing else he gets the good milk. I'm so tired! The pharmacies aren't open on Sunday so I have one percocet to get me thru the night. Going to go relax while James sleeps :) Thanks so much for the support.

:lol I won't lie, he is cute as hell! We had a decent night without pain meds so Erik just went to go get my drugs but I'm feeling ok as long as I don't try to be cute and move too fast. James just had his first full boob juice meal! I was so worried he wouldn't get it but my milk came in last night and now he is doing better.

Yeay!! Glad teh nursing is starting to go better. I'm getting that package ready to go to you. I've been lazy (still recovering from the sisters wedding weekend... lol). I'll be out & about tomorrow so I'll take it to the PO & drop it off. should get it in a day or 2. I'll also get the stroller/carrier & playpen ready to go.

There's some really good stuff for the soreness that comes with the first few days of nursing in your package. & a couple other nice things for Mom & Baby :D (and for the girls too!)

Verity is teh bestestest! I have to go get my staples out in like 45 minutes :( So I'm gonna take a percocet in a minute.

LOL Thanks Rikr. The only way he can breastfeed is if I use a nipple shield which is fine except every other time he ends up grabbing my nipple and ripping it off =\ It's a terrible cycle of both of us being frustrated. Last night he was so fussy and it continued all night. So finally this morning Erik went and got him some drops for gas and a pump for me. I really am kicking myself in the ass over this pump. I had one with Kami and the suction was so strong it felt like my nipples were being ripped off so I asked Erik for a manual pump and now my hand is killing me....but at least my boobs don't feel like they're going to explode. So I figure I will save up the pumped milk for the 2-3 am feedings so I can get some sleep and so can the baby.

I really hope things get smoother. I sympathize with the rough start on breastfeeding. It took Alison a bit to "get" it, and when she did life got lots easier. We ended up having to get her latch checked with a lactation consultant at the hospital.

Ooh yeah, all my girlfriends said NO to the manual pump so I picked up a 60 dollar electric one and it works perfectly. I didn't get over the nipple pain for about 2 months though - seemed like it got worse and worse. Why are they taking your staples out? Mine dissolved on the inside and then they just taped me up on the outside - I didn't have to get anything taken out, thank god.

Yea that's how it was with CeCe and Kami but I guess out here they give you real metal staples. So in my mind I am thinking like a staple gun staples lol but they were pretty small and it wasn't too terrible when they took them out. My Dr. said the staples help you heal faster and there is less chance of infection. I hope that I don't get an infection since I did with both of my other c-sections but I was on 2 days of IV antibiotics so hopefully any little nasties will stay away from me.

I got a call from the health department just doing a survey and the lady told me they do free vacinations every week so I'm all over that when he has to get his shots. They also have a free walk in clinic in case he gets sick so that's awesome.

Breast pumps bleh! It didn't hurt at all with the manual one but it took about 25 minutes to pump out about 2 oz. But I figure that it will keep me from getting engorged and it will be good for James since I still have problems getting him to latch on before he gets angry and starts having a fit. It's really really going to suck when Erik goes back to work he helps so much with getting the baby in position.

I'm kid of hurt, although I really shouldn't be. When we told Erik's parents about the pregnancy they pretty much said they wanted nothing to do with the baby. Which is what I expected out of them. So the baby is born and Erik is excited and calls his parents and they don't really care but Erik keeps trying and sends them pictures of James. He waits a few days to see if they call or email to say 'oh what a cute baby' or anything and they don't so Erik calls and says so did you get the pictures? Yea we got them blahblah not interested in the baby really. Erik is hurt and mad and throws teh phone on the floor when he hangs up. Erik still wants to send them pictures, etc. but I don't want him too. His parents have shown what kind of people they are and I don't want or need people like that in my life or the lives of my children. :( Assholes.
