honestly who cares about everquest post GoD (or really post PoP for that matter)?
Probably all the people who still play? :P There's arrogance, and there's ignorance, and you've somehow managed to combine them both in an amalgam of angst-ridden annoyingness that is quickly becoming tiresome. Yes, you were good. Yes, our time is over. No, the game didn't shut down when you quit playing, and no, just because you don't care about a thing anymore doesn't mean that it somehow lost all of the worth it had on the previous day when you did care.
I quit playing in 2008 but I'm not rude enough to come and tell people who still play that nobody cares blah blah. How could you know that? You don't play. And that sentiment can be reversed: who cares how good you were in 2004? This is 2010.
I always liked you, but damn, did you somehow manage to not age in the past 6 years? Or maybe you are still in your twenties, in which case, no explanation is needed. It's cool to come and reminisce, but this is not a hate site; don't come here and start telling people how much better you were than them and how nothing matters since you stopped playing. News flash: when you die, the world will keep on spinning.
Sorry to seem so rude, but it's getting annoying.
btw I soloed Quarm, my penis is huge!
And here I was thinking the people from everquest were less retarded than the people on wow. I guess that's probably just because I was a teenager when I played and you 20 somethings at the time were a little closer to my level then. Sorry I tried to rehash the past. Have fun boasting about your accomplishments in a game after it died. No one I actually care about is responding to me anyway. If you didn't expect this when I started posting again then you obviously don't really remember me or my personality. Good day.
1) EverQuest never died, its still going strong and lots still play it and enjoy it. So get your facts straight.
2) You coming here and and saying how great you were and attention whoring is the one acting like a retard.
Are you trying to live in the past or something? Are you trying to cling to how awesome you were in EQ back then? What happened man, did someone say you were bad in WoW or some other game and you come here seeking solace and wanting the people that played with you in the past to say how awesome you were? Are you seeking some form of ego damage control here? And you calling us retards shows your maturity.
This isnt a hate board. This is not SolroHate. This is a message board of friends and people who love a wide variety of things from art, gaming, movies and chit chat etc. Nobody here flames anyone and dont come here looking for them.
3) Show Roz some respect and apologize to her for coming here and gaying her message board up.
Kel im impressed you soloed Quarm personally, id love to raid in EQ if it wasn't stick figures. Its like real life i'm way too into looks and cant get past them.
In level 60 Naxxramas, for Loatheb, once you cast one heal spell, you gained a debuff that would prevent you from casting any more heals for 1 minute. None of this level 80 version where you can cast as many heals as you want in 10 seconds or whatever it is, no sir. So that means, obviously, a heal rotation on the MT (while everyone else needed 2 shadow absorption potions, 2 bandages, a healthstone, and a whipper root tuber: buff with shadow pot before fight and start once cooldown is up, eat an aoe, use potion, eat aoe, use bandage, etc) and those mofos COULD NOT DO A SIMPLE HEAL CHAIN. I'm talking COULD. NOT. DO. IT. Even the supposedly "great" players in my guild were complete imbiciles when it came to a heal chain. They'd heal early. They'd heal late ("the tank didnt need a heal yet!") and completely fuck the rotation up. They'd do the normal shit that happens in CH chains like forget to heal entirely, or go afk because their baby caught on fire.
I really hated that fight. Can you tell? But it illustrates one of the differences in raiding in WoW and raiding in EQ. It's almost a totally different mindset. EQ = all about teamwork, WoW = "I'm a superstar!"
WTB Rift and that dev team. That team alone brings hope to MMO’s for me and I plan on taking my guild into that game full steam if it continues to show promise
One mistake and you die and cripple your raid immensely or you straight up wipe them which brings the nerd rage for wasting an hour. You still need VERY strong coordination from a raid leaders pov. I need to make sure everyone knows where to run when a) or b) or c) hits
LOL, yeah, that is exactly what I'm talking about. Very few fights in EQ are like that, in terms of one tiny mistake ending it all. Lich King is a great example with the stupid Defile puddles.
For those who don't know (ie: Kelefane), during the Lich King encounter, he will randomly spawn a puddle of black shit on the ground centered on one player called "Defile". It's a pretty big puddle. You get ONE SECOND to move. ONE SECOND. If you lag, or blink, or anything, you're done. Whenever a player takes damage from standing in the puddle, it grows - fast. So the entire raid can be wiped from ONE SINGLE SECOND of innattention, or "oops my finger slipped" or anything. Oh, and did I mention that you're fighting on a plateau which is only the size of maybe, MAYBE, four of the Defile puddles base size, and that if you fall off you're out of the fight for good? PS: There's these Valkyrie bitches that spawn and grab a player and drag them off the edge, so all the dps has to burn the Valkyrie while somehow avoiding the Defile...
So many "synchronized swimming" fights, just in Naxx alone, theres two major ones: Thaddius and Heigan. EQ players would shit a brick if they had to do Heigan.
ARGH SO MAD BRAH !! NERD RAGE

meh, lol - Quarm is easy really. Hardest things ive soloed recently are Anguish and Tacvi. I soloed Warden Hanvar once and it took a good hour and a half almost. Xxeric in Tacvi was tough, really tough.
lol
