Say Anything.
'Say Anything' is a John Cusak/Cameron Crowe 1989 teen flick. ' A noble underachiever and a beautiful valedictorian fall in love the summer before she goes off to college.' This is actually not what this thread is about, but the message is the same.
Actually no it isn't, I just like imdb.com and the title sounded interesting. /snort
This is not necessarily a vent thread - far from it. This is about saying anything - weather, the bird outside your work window, the fundamental differences between Mormons and catholics, how Law and Order Criminal Intent doesn't get the props it deserves, that I always forget whether it's 'it's' or 'its', that my daughter has a beautiful smile and the first guy that breaks her heart - I'm breaking his knees...it's about anything.
So, say anything.
I swear, that walk feels like its over a mile.
There is also a lot of walking at DFW I hear.
Phoenix airport however is very minimal walking....but its a big airport..however, they land you at convenient terminals close to the exists.
I have only flown a few times. Seattle was not too bad and Atlanta scared the fuck out of me (but it was my first time and went from Seattle to Atlanta to Birmingham to Jackson). The airport in Billings is so tiny and the plane was tiny it was a pretty scary thing for me lol.
Kansas airport is tiny, you walk in, theres a desk and a wall and a door in the wall with a security line, and behind that wall is your gate.. its almost too easy.
Spokane airport is nice, not too big, not too small,
Honolulu isnt bad either, I think maybe Im just accustomed to the mass size of phx that everything else Ive been to seems tiny, except LAX
Dont care much for LAX ><
There is also a lot of walking at DFW I hear.
I've flown in and out of DFW several times, and it never fails...whatever gate my plane drops me off at is at the opposite end from the one I need to connect to. And to top that off, I never have long layovers in DFW...usually I only have like 30-40 minutes to catch my connecting flight!
Compared to DFW, I love Denver, Las Vegas, Honolulu, Seattle, San Francisco, LAX, and Atlanta. I don't think I've ever flown into Phoenix. I really love small airports though...Sacramento, Ontatio, Burbank, Eureka, Long Beach...they're so cute, and easy getting in and out of.
So I'm trying to sleep between a couple of chairs - its freezing - I'm shivering, and the people that work there cleaning overnight were running up and down the isles screaming and hollering at each other - when someone finally told one to keep it down he said "if theys don't like me screamin they shoulda got here in time for their motherfuckin plane" as loud as he could. I was not happy.
Has anyone here been to Denver airport? I hear they have some disturbing murals / paintings in there.
Used to fly outta there alot......

Often referred to as "the big blue horse" or the "demon horse" and my favorite "blucifer"
The man who started the "sculpture" was actually killed during the construction, after a piece broke off & fell on him.
The airport is unfortunately not the only place in Denver to find such atrocities...
There are many such creepy sculptures around Denver for the unwary.
Philidelphia - largest airport I've ever been at (I think? lol). I think it was at this airport you had to take buses all the way to other terminals.
It's not that it's extremely large, it's that the idiots didn't make an easy way to get between the terminals from outside the security gates.
I disagree strongly. Ive seen way better, like Texas.
Texas highways are stoopid. Having highways parallel to highways is ... stoopid.
Phoenix is actually not that large of an airport
Yeah, what makes it look big is that huge ass mall connected to it.
Texas highways are stoopid. Having highways parallel to highways is ... stoopid.
Still better then anything ive seen in Arizona, by a long shot. Now thems are stoopid.
My little guy turns three tomorrow, where the hell has the time gone? lol
Zoinks! Happy birthday!
Can't remember if I had mentioned this back in August, but my mom's liver decided to shit the bed right about then. We had to take her to the ER vomiting and peeing pure blood, and she ended up in ICU for two weeks after having four blood transfusions. I think it was four, can't remember exactly... at least four, anyway.
So now, she needs a liver transplant. Noone in the family is healthy enough/eligible to be a live donor (livers can be bisected and part donated; both pieces grow back), but I'm closer to eligible than any of the others. I just have to lose about 60 pounds. So far I've lost 21 pounds, :pleased and still working my ass off to lose the weight. Meanwhile she's on the transplant list; not sure how high up on the list she is but we'll see what happens.
I'll try to be around more, promise ;) I want to get back into using Poser more in my "down time"; just haven't really had the time/energy/muse...
