Yeah me too but I was hoping Erik would take care of it because I have a very bad temper...but he won't do anything. He'd rather fix it himself then be confrontational. So now I get to do it and hopefully I won't hit anyone in the process.

Sorry for your issues, Lasch - Its horrendous that anyone would draw dicks on your drywall. That is just....wow, its a travesty. I cannot put it into words how retarded that is.

I'd be pissed too if someone drew dick pics on a wall. Sorry you have to deal with that Laschae. :(

Speaking of housing and such.. hubby and I closed on our house yesterday!! Today we're gonna go back and start painting my son and daughters room. And wait for the gas guy to come over and turn the gas on. We already got electricity and water turned on yesterday.

Here's a few pics of the new place. A 4bd, 3 full bath, 2 living areas, dining room, 2 car garage, fenced in backyard. Its like 2589sq ft. I love this place!! I still need to get pics of the other bedrooms and upstairs. The 2nd floor is the other living area (aka the game room) and a bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom upstairs is going to be my daughters.

Livingroom - those windows are 70"x70" each. Getting window coverings is going to be hurt the pocket. LOL All the downstairs bedrooms have these windows too.


Kitchen obviously - it was newly remodeled sort of. They took down a wall, added granite counters, new appliances. The cabinets aren't new. They are 1977 original to the house. Yeah..those will be replaced too one day. I'm in LOVE with all the counter space! The dining room is between the livingroom and kitchen. It was more of a formal diningroom, but since they knocked down a wall so you can see into the kitchen from it, its less formal now but it's still nice.


Hallway to the downstairs bedrooms -
very end of the hallway where you see the window is the master. Right of the master is the
4th bedroom/office. Then my sons room first door on the right past the extra pantry. Across his room is the bathroom and laundry room is the first door on the left.

Those windows are great! Do you have to cover the non-bedroom windows? Looks like you have a privacy fence, maybe you can just leave them or just do a valance?

It is a gorgeous house, and I agree, I love huge windows. I really dislike window coverings, but understand they're totally necessary in a lot of instances. If you can get away without them...

If the neighbors house on the otherside of the fence was single story then we could get by with no covering, but they have a 2 story house and windows facing the livingroom so they could see directly into my house.

Thanks all! Oh and there's actually 3 pantry's for the kitchen. :D I can't wait to put on some socks and go skating across the livingroom floor. ROFL Oh and speaking of windows... we're really going to have to put up blinds ASAP. A bird flew into the window and killed itself and so now theres dried blood and feathers on one of the livingroom windows and a dead bird laying on the ground. =X

We got the electricty and water turned on Wedn.. gas got turned on yesterday afternoon which is good because its a gas water heater and gas heat in the house. It was fucking FREEZING in the house yesterday while I was painting my sons room. By the time I was finished taping baseboards and frames and painting it all..I had NO feeling left in my fingers. But atleast I got the whole room painted and it looks awesome!

I'm a little peeved right now. Last night on the way home (the new place is over an hour away from our current place) it was downpouring rain. We got halfway home and it turned into sleet....then snow. Not little snow .. big ass chunks of snow and it was coming down really good and made it almost impossible to see to drive. Normal speed limit was 65mph... but everyone was driving 30-40mph so it took even longer to get home. I'm all for snow for a little bit.. but I was crossing my fingers it would be melted and gone by mid morning. Well its now 9:25am here and there's still like 2 inches of nasty ass snow on the ground and so the roads are going to be shitty which means we can't go back to the house today to paint my daughters room. UGH!!

Oh yes, the granite counters! I have this horrible beige formica on one side of my kitchen and this godawful blue marble formica from the 40s on the other side...it's hideous.

Hopefully that snow will melt away soon so you can get back to painting!

Lol, this happens quite frequently at my house, first time it happened I just about died laughing. None of the birds died though, there was just a thud, a flurry of feathers then the dazed birdie flew away lol.

When it warms up a little bit, make sure to go through to all the places where your pipes are exposed and check the floor under them for leaks. With the heat being off during a crazy winter like this one, something might have frozen along the way, and you could get some nasty mold action going in the spring.

And I wish you hadn't mentioned the third pantry. I swear, I think people are allergic to storage space here.

we've got two pantries.. or one pantry and a closet, in our kitchen. The closet one ( which i use for larger pots and pans and small appliances) has a staircase in it behind a removable wall that I think used to be for servants to go down so they didnt have to go through the front part of the house to get to the root/canning cellar. I dont want to put food in it cause Im afraid mice will come up from the basement ><

Im jealous of that kitchen though, nice and big and lots of counterspace!

once you get curtains or blinds up birds shouldnt be flying into them so much, they just cant see the glass.

You could use the window clingys to keep the birds from flying into them. We put some up on the porch and that seemed to help it. Every once and awhile though it still happens to even our living room windows with curtains. lol

Hubby and I made an appointment for next week to get the taxes done, woo woo! I just need to hope that I can use my paypal records as proof of self employment. If not, I'm not sure I can file jointly with him. I wants my EIC! :P

I just got in from my Pennsylvania trip - absolutely exhausted its 1am. We got in about 10pm but had to drive up from Phoenix still.

I love the ceilings in that living room, and your granite countertops may actually be real granite! (most aren't lol)

Horrible weekend. We've been sick most of last week...well the girls go off to spend the night at friends houses and Erik got even sicker so no fun for me lol.

The contractor just came up here and apologized for the dicks on the wall and said how pissed off he was that the kid did that and that the kid is not working this week and if he wants to keep his job he'll come here and apologize to me himself or be fired. Now should I punch the kid in the mouth or not hmmm....
