Say Anything.
'Say Anything' is a John Cusak/Cameron Crowe 1989 teen flick. ' A noble underachiever and a beautiful valedictorian fall in love the summer before she goes off to college.' This is actually not what this thread is about, but the message is the same.
Actually no it isn't, I just like imdb.com and the title sounded interesting. /snort
This is not necessarily a vent thread - far from it. This is about saying anything - weather, the bird outside your work window, the fundamental differences between Mormons and catholics, how Law and Order Criminal Intent doesn't get the props it deserves, that I always forget whether it's 'it's' or 'its', that my daughter has a beautiful smile and the first guy that breaks her heart - I'm breaking his knees...it's about anything.
So, say anything.
AAaaAAAAAaaAAAAAAAaAAaAAAAAaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!
I snuck onto the scale this morning, the one I have at home in my dining room. I'm only supposed to be weighing in every Thursday, but I'm not very good at waiting. So this morning I hopped on the scale quick before hubby saw and bitched at me, and then I called him over anyway all excited because for the first time since well before my 14 year old daughter was born, I AM UNDER 200 POUNDS!!! :ham3 :ham2 :ole :ham2 :ham3
Um, well, you know that you always weigh lightest when you first wake up... and I really don't trust any scale but the one at the gym or the doctor's... so until I can weigh myself at the gym andnothave to move that stupid weight thing to 200 I won't officially call myself under 200. But DAMN didn't that feel good!! :cheer
My rant for this week... little thieving kids. My sons new friend who lives a few houses down supposedly just bought 2 Wii games recently. The same 2 games we have missing. The same 2 games he told my son one day he will have too. How he could buy them with his allowance beats me since this boys allowance is being taken away and given to other neighbors to pay for the cost of the pear tree this boy destroyed (twice).
Hrmm.... and after checking the other game systems games... we're missing 2 Gamecube games as well. =\
There is a slight chance my son forgot them over there.. the gamecube games that is, as he did take them over there today, but my son is saying he didn't forget them because when he went to get his games and come home, the boy picked them up, shook them and said 'they're all here'. My son never opened to check if they were in there (he said he heard something in the cases - probably the pamplets inside is my guess) so like I said, slight chance the boy didn't purposely take them. But the Wii games.. no way they were left there on accident because they (wii games) don't leave our house. Its rule #3. Rule 1 is put them away in the case after you play them, Rule 2 is put them on the correct shelf (3 shelves - 1 for wii games, 1 for xbox games, 1 for playstation games). There like 20 rules to the game systems the kids have to follow. LOL Im so anal when it comes to them taking care of these expensive ass systems. =P The Gamecube and Gameboy games are in my sons room because thats where he plays those. The better systems are upstairs. Anyway... So tomorrow, oh yeah, I'm walking my ass over there bright and early and gonna have a nice talk with this little boy. I don't appreciate stuff being stolen from our house. I was nice enough to let him come over and play our wii and games since we have shit tons and he only has like 2 or 3 games of his own. ..and then he tries to steal the games. Fuck no.
/rant off
So the one kid goes to leave and I walk him to our front door, he has an ipod and hes wrapping the earbud cords around and stuffing them into his pocket. Something about the way hes doing it is catching my attention. He is telling me this rediculous story about how he was out riding his quad one day and thought it would be fun to ride over the top of a beaver dam and it got stuck and his quad was so heavy he needed some sort of industrial chain to pull it out after it broke a series of others. (ha!)
Anyway, later on the kids come down asking if Ive seen their friend julie's ipod, its gone missing. Took about a week for us to convince his grandma that Darren left with it. The lady is still convinced that her grandson is an angel and believes his story that he accidentally picked it up.
I dont trust him in my house.
I know Catherine's 2 bff's parents really well, but you can't help but be super cautious =/
Oh and hubby and I went over this morning to reclaim Austins games. Both Wii games and both Gamecube games were there..as well as 2 gameboy games (that actually belong to my daughter but she lets Austin borrow them) I didn't even know about until this morning when we were going through the rest of our games.
The boy said right in front of us and his parents he bought Indiana Jones Lego and Thrillville... and I said 'oh..well can you show me the cases they came in then' to which he replies 'I sat on the boxes and crushed them the day I bought them'.. HA..little fucking liar.. and I could tell his mom didn't believe him either.
Then we asked where he got the gameboy games... he said his friend gave them to him. No one believed that one either.
I think he started realizing no one was believing his stories.. so when we asked about the gamecube games, he said my son left them there and he was going to give them back when he saw him again. He handed them over then.
So got all our games back. Went and took a sharpie and wrote our last name on every single game and case. Just incase, but either way this boy is not allowed in our house anymore, nor are any games allowed to leave this house.
Ok now it's time to go back to baking! Spent the last 5-6hrs doing nothing but baking cakes to make a 4 tier birthday cake for my daughter tomorrow. Its going to be... well..odd. LOL She wanted each tier to be different flavors.. so we have spice cake, banana cake, swiss chocolate cake, and red velvet cake. Yum =X
I will shoot you Roz! I'm waiting on Changes to come out next month. I already preordered yay! I wish one of my friends or co workers were into these books so I could speculate what will happen next...I tried to tell Erik my theories and he yelled at me that HE DID NOT WANT TO KNOW!!!! No fun :(
Oh you mean Harry Dresden? Man the description of that one spoils the hell out of the book. More Red Court, Susan...AND THEIR BABY???? Ugh, I'm sorta not looking forward to it. I don't really like the storyline with Susan, he needs to get with Murphy already O_O
I still feel bad for Thomas. He's all screwed up now =/
My external drive died. It's at the shop to get fixed, really hoping its simple cause ALL my poser is on it.
Spent yesterday and today working on her cake. I'm proud of it. :D It looks wet but it's not. The colored parts are a mixure of food coloring and sparkle icing stuff so it's shiny.

Party started at 5:30pm... its now 10:30pm and we still can't find it in ourselves to cut up the cake and eat it.
