Say Anything.
'Say Anything' is a John Cusak/Cameron Crowe 1989 teen flick. ' A noble underachiever and a beautiful valedictorian fall in love the summer before she goes off to college.' This is actually not what this thread is about, but the message is the same.
Actually no it isn't, I just like imdb.com and the title sounded interesting. /snort
This is not necessarily a vent thread - far from it. This is about saying anything - weather, the bird outside your work window, the fundamental differences between Mormons and catholics, how Law and Order Criminal Intent doesn't get the props it deserves, that I always forget whether it's 'it's' or 'its', that my daughter has a beautiful smile and the first guy that breaks her heart - I'm breaking his knees...it's about anything.
So, say anything.

If I had to guess...
Unless you were questioning the reasons, in which case I'll zip it.
I am still tired. I saw the Doctor today and got blood drawn to make sure everything is at the normal level. Know what sucks the most? I have to go back to Faire on Saturday for more of what made me feel so sick. joy.
Not that upset about it.
in my case, she was very right! *blush*
Why not upset? Was she insane?
I originally thought this girl was a bit out of my demesnes, as she expressed interests in artsy things that I wasn't so sure about. But she sent me an intelligent, thoughtful message, and I responded. We corresponded via email for a bit over a week, then she gave me her number. We talked on the phone for a week, then went on our first date.
For a lot of things she was very open minded (and no, I'm not talking about in the bedroom) I mean things like sci-fi, fantasy, video games... Hell she played Magic: The Gathering! and we watched Anime and Firefly together. Almost a geek's dream girl. Plus she understood where I'm coming from as far as my family and my dad is concerned, because she has a similar situation.
But there's a bunch of differences... She doesn't believe in marriage and doesn't want kids. She hates doctors and doesn't think non-doctor people should do research to figure out how to "fix themselves"... Yeah, I know, oxymoronic, right? and there were a bunch of other similar things that made me go "okay you're an educated woman of the 21st century. WTF"
Due to our differing schedules - she works 6am to 3pm and I work 9-6, plus the fact we live on opposite sides of a major metropolitan area, with an hour's drive without traffic - and with her own interests and mine - we rarely got to see each other during the week.
So when one of us would get a free night, and call up the other and say "I'm free X-day, want to do something?" if the answer was "no I can't" she'd get mad at me, no matter who it was that said no!
She got mad that I had to spend a weekend doing some important things around the house. And it wasn't until after that - by which point we'd been dating for nearly 3 months - that she finally offered to visit me instead of me going to her.
And I think she started developing feelings for me... which I really have no problem with, but she wanted me to reciprocate, and well, it was "too early" for me. I often felt that I'd barely gotten to know her, even after nearly four months of contact.
And besides, it's called "dating" not "jump into a permanent relationship with the next semi-decent candidate that comes along."
I think, IMHO, you're better off and should count your blessings :hug
HAHA that is awesome! I hope you got a slap and a tickle out of it before cutting her loose. =x
No.
The register girl, Amanda, couldn't have been 21. Short-cropped black hair. Inverted nose ring. (You know, the points sticking out her nostrils.) Two lip rings. Eyebrow stud. Nose stud.
And a mostly-unbuttoned regulation Target shirt that showed off her quite lovely assets and a rather striking spiked heart tattoo right in between.
