Say Anything.
'Say Anything' is a John Cusak/Cameron Crowe 1989 teen flick. ' A noble underachiever and a beautiful valedictorian fall in love the summer before she goes off to college.' This is actually not what this thread is about, but the message is the same.
Actually no it isn't, I just like imdb.com and the title sounded interesting. /snort
This is not necessarily a vent thread - far from it. This is about saying anything - weather, the bird outside your work window, the fundamental differences between Mormons and catholics, how Law and Order Criminal Intent doesn't get the props it deserves, that I always forget whether it's 'it's' or 'its', that my daughter has a beautiful smile and the first guy that breaks her heart - I'm breaking his knees...it's about anything.
So, say anything.
Ok concerts, easy to list since I haven't been to that many at all:
U2
Elastica
1994 107.7 EndFest - saw House of Pain before they broke up. That was the shit.
ACDC
I think that's it =x
Ok I'd be pissed OFF if I were her. I'm surprised they haven't c-sectioned her yet, but I've heard of like a 72 hr labor before, which is just all sorts of wrong to me.
:X Yeah was wrong to me too. In my case, I had preeclampsia which meant I was at risk for seizures. They put me on anti seizure medication, which conflicted with the labor inducing stuff. All the while my platelet counts were plummeting so their options were becoming very few indeed. They stuck an epidural catheter in my back because they wouldn't be able to put it in later, but I never used it. Wasn't being stoic, just the timing didn't work out. All they could do was wait for the drugs to duke it out and hope I didn't have a seizure, so they did that for three days. Finally one doctor (of like 800 omg so many doctors) said 'fuck it, let's break her water and see what happens'. From there I think it was only 6 hours until delivery. The bulk of the 72 hours was not-unbearable contractions every five minutes or so, but I was so exhausted I barely remember anything about the delivery.
Anyway yeah, this conversation is definitely good for reinforcing my desire for permanent sterilization :X. Anyone try the newer insert methods - essure or adiana or chrome?

I don't know about the other two, but I've had GREAT results with Chrome. I've not had any babies since using it.

I never really made the connection, but now that you mention it I haven't either.
I decided last week to learn how to solve a Rubik's cube after seeing that people can do it in under 20 seconds. I'll be satisfied if I can do it in under 5 minutes. The instructions seem simple, and they worked up until I had solved a 2x2x3 section of the cube (supposedly easy, but it took me 2 days). Then they claim to show every possible cube position for the remaining 7 edges - and mine wasn't on it. I found the one that looked closest, solved 5 of them, and was stuck with 2, and those two aren't listed as any of the possibilities FJ SK F L SLF P _)% _%*#PIF S so I scrambled the cube and I'm going to start over. Because I'm a masochist. But not right now, because I'm too bored to torture myself.
Maybe I will just watch The Matrix or Star Wars for the 9,238,123,932nd time.
Until now O_o!
Anyway, yeah, every concert I've been to (which admittedly isn't many) has been amazing and I loved it :). But then, I've never paid that amount of money per ticket.
Holy shit Roz I was going to go to the '94 EndFest but I didn't wanna drag this guy I was sort of dating there... Ugh I don't even wanna admit this but I've seen New Kids (I was 12!) Backstreet Boys (19!) No Doubt ( with Weezer) and Incubus. LeeAnn Rimes came to Gillette a few months ago that was like the biggest shit ever but I don't like country.
I think we went to EndFest 97, too. Wasn't too interested in who was there though, but Mike wanted to go. I remember NKOTB coming to the Puyallup fair in 90. A couple good friends of mine got tickets and were like WOOHOO, but my brown snottiest, although in its infancy, did not see the appeal of them. At all.
Pictures or it never happened!
David called to tell me he got an HP touchsmart today. He has been wanting one, Im anxious to know how well they work for you guys :)
As in a laptop? My software is called touchsmart, but I don't know if a touchsmart is a smaller device or not. I don't keep up so well anymore :(
So far it's great - I wish I could calibrate it
He says its an all in one desktop ,everything is built into the monitor, which for him is fine. He doesn't do anything heavy on a computer like gaming or art programs, just Ebay and photos.

This, though I don't know that this is the exact one he has.
Nowadays the only concerts I get too are things like Disney on Ice, Storytime Live, and this octorber were are going to see Yo Gabba Gabba Live!
I try and go see Flogging Molly every year
I havent seen Phantom in well over a decade, and I would love t o take Tristan with me, One of the times I saw it and I was 9 months pregnant with him. I don't know if that's got anything to do with it, but he is the only one of the three that is as obsessed with the show and music as I am, and he has never seen it live.
