Say Anything.

'Say Anything' is a John Cusak/Cameron Crowe 1989 teen flick. ' A noble underachiever and a beautiful valedictorian fall in love the summer before she goes off to college.' This is actually not what this thread is about, but the message is the same.

Actually no it isn't, I just like imdb.com and the title sounded interesting. /snort

This is not necessarily a vent thread - far from it. This is about saying anything - weather, the bird outside your work window, the fundamental differences between Mormons and catholics, how Law and Order Criminal Intent doesn't get the props it deserves, that I always forget whether it's 'it's' or 'its', that my daughter has a beautiful smile and the first guy that breaks her heart - I'm breaking his knees...it's about anything.

So, say anything.

Sunscreen for the win - my moisturizer and my makeup. My mother is 67 and has awesome skin because she drinks an unbelievable amount of water. Plus she is super awesome. Mike does the same and eats healthy. We were just never big drinkers or smokers, and yeah I guess that takes a lot out of you.

I also work out at least 3 times a week though and take a multitude of vitamins and honestly this is the best shape I've been in ever. Even pre-Catherine. Except for the gray that keeps showing up, I know for damn sure I don't look 40. Apparently I look 22, according to the drunk fucker with the amazing beer-goggles that Vex and I met on our weekend. Dude thought I was younger than HER and she's 29. Seriously? I want what he's drinking.

A party game to play with your kids...

Fill a bag with random bits of clothing/dressing up stuff. Play as if playing pass the parcel, except when the music stops, the person who has the item has to close their eyes and grab something out of the bag. Keep going until the bag is empty.

Now...I know I had a couple glasses of wine, but somehow I got roped into it...

After 4 months of waiting and testing and interviews and more waiting, I finally got the job I've been wanting! Horray! No more slaving away waitressing again!

on a side note, my fat cat is currently punking out my puppy. He's sitting down the hall crying because she's laying in his way to block him. Hilarious

All my chandeliers went a'swinging O_o. Whole house swayed and creaked and rattled but nothing broken or damaged. Dog and I hung out in a door frame until it was over.

How long did it take you to realize what was going on? I'd probably totally lose my shit and/or pass out. Calm would be way over there ------->

We were driving down the road, thought the wheel felt loose for like 5 secs then nothing. Figured we hit a bad patch in the road until my girl friend texted to ask if we were okay. I was all uh yeah why? She was spazzing LoL We were bout to go to Wal-Mart but the shopping world effectively shut down, so we went over to her house to hang out a few. Came home and checked our place, and just a few things shook up. Couple books fell off the shelves, glass bottles fell off the top of my cupboard and managed not to break. Cell coverage has finally come back up, but we used the house phone fine and called Chili's to see if they were open. They were so we went out for dinner, decided shopping wasn't worth it today so home we are again :D

I'm in my office a bazillion hours a day. Today I left for TWENTY MINUTES to go to the undergraduate hub to get a fucking notebook and didn't feel a thing. I came back and all the grad students and profs were excited and talking about the earthquake.

For a second I thought a truck was going by, but it was pretty obvious what was happening almost right away.

The weird thing is, I'd been feeling very anxious for no apparent reason all day - so much so that I took an extra pill :X. So when the earthquake hit I was pretty calm, just thinking thoughts like "oh, it's an earthquake" and "I hope I don't have to re shelve all my books". I wonder now if, much like an animal with super senses, I detected the earthquake well before it happened with my super anxiety power O_o.

Dude, lol. :( You were the first person I thought of when I heard about the earthquake (I was on the phone with my family who live on the east coast, so I'm not an asshole, ok) - I hate it that you of all people didn't get earthquaked (in the good, non-death-inducing way). :(
