Combined Threads - Formerly Officially A BOY!! + Water Broke!
I'm sure Mike's going to realllly appreciate this. So he and I are officially trying for our kiddo #2. We had unprotected sex last night, which marks the only other time we've EVER had unprotected sex. We grew up freaking out about unplanned pregnancies so we feel good about being able to plan our two. Don't get me wrong, surprises are good too - but I kinda don't like being surprised hehe. Especially since I'm diabetic so I have to come off a lot of medication. So I'm checking my blood pressure everyday and sugar. Anyway - if it's anything like Catherine, I'll be pregnant by next week O_o

I'm to the point now that my back is almost totally out as a sleeping position. Thankfully, I've gotten somewhat used to sleeping on my sides, but some nights I can't get comfortable for anything. I've also been sleeping on the couch a lot lately because I'm so hot, that it drives me and the husband nuts. The other plus of that is when I can't get comfortable, I don't wake him up.

once it got to feel like i had bricks or a watermelon sitting on my tummy, I had to sleep on my side, with a pillow between my knees.. I think now they actually make support pillows for between your thighs and between knees, but really could just use a soft feather pillow or maybe a throw.

Body pillow FTW!
I used one during both my pregnancies, they're great for when your belly gets big and it feels like it's trying to pull you off the bed, you just tuck the body pillow under it then the bottom half between your legs and viola, comfy big belly sleep.

I sleep with a body pillow just cus my knees hurt if they dont have cushion between em!

Ha! I had an awesome waterbed, and slept on my stomach until I was about 8 months along.

Catherine came with me yesterday for an appointment and she got to see the baby. I'm not quite sure what she thought of it, she was kind of quiet. It was probably hard to tell, but I was just friggin happy they were able to do an abdomen ultrasound instead of a vaginal =x My stomach muscles seem to be relaxing and its sticking out more - which only succeeds in making me look fatter. I haven't gained any weight though and god willing I won't until further into my second trimester.
Anyway, Catherine was excited to tell her day care group leader that she got to see the baby, so that made me happy =)

I had ANOTHER ultrasound today. Chick was pressing hard on my tummy with the thinger and I made a face.

Oh we have the boys name decided already. David Paul Rosario Hartmann. David is Mike's middle name, Paul is my father/brother's name.
If we have another girl (SQUEE) we like Elizabeth so far. I suggested Elizabeth Rose but he didn't seem to dig Rose. Just as long as the baby's healthy and I don't gain 100lbs, it's all good =x

So 13 weeks and I've lost 3lbs =D Thank god I'm not gaining like I did with Catherine, when it was all said and done I had gained nearly 60lbs with her. blech! 2nd trimester at the same weight - I'm friggin thrilled. I have another ultrasound today and I'm clearly feeling the baby running around in me now, it's kind of going by fast for me now =x

Had my downs screening ultrasound and blood draw yesterday, everything looks good so far. Got to see the baby's spine, ribs, hands, fingers, legs - the whole thing....oh and he's got pee pee.
Tech was 98% sure, she said it might have been swollen labia from the hormones but she kept looking for 10 mins, doing different angles and she said it was toolong and wiggly to be labia. MAZOLTOV!!! I'm keeping any receipts until the 20 week ultrasound for confirmation, but we were both freaked out and thrilled. Catherine squee'd her little heart out - she got her baby brother.

This baby in my belly seems to have a lovely sense of humor about when it kicks. I swear she HATES silence, cause she starts kicking a storming when it gets quiet. It's also funny cause a lot of the time when the hubby comes into the room and says something, she'll kick.

Grats Roz! Glad to hear everything is going great! We get to do the ultrasound next Wed. Cant wait.
