Actually no it isn't, I just like imdb.com and the title sounded interesting. /snort
This is not necessarily a vent thread - far from it. This is about saying anything - weather, the bird outside your work window, the fundamental differences between Mormons and catholics, how Law and Order Criminal Intent doesn't get the props it deserves, that I always forget whether it's 'it's' or 'its', that my daughter has a beautiful smile and the first guy that breaks her heart - I'm breaking his knees...it's about anything.

Finally got the kids school pictures so I thought I would share. Kami's hair looks like crap, no one in this town can cut cute short hair for girls apparently because I took her to 2 places to try and make her hair not look like crap.

Yeah I have tried to convince her to brush it back and she won't :( I even forced it on her one night and she was like no I don't like it. Stubborn kid! I told the lady to give her a bob and while I was getting my hair cut Kami told her to do it shorter and I swear this lady was fresh out of beauty school because she was still rocking the 1980's super perm.

That sucks. I took catherine to the military BX beauty shop and chick was not sporting a hair do from this decade, but she did a beautiful job with Catherine's hair. I was surprised. =x

Did I mention we're having our upstairs bathroom remodeled? Man what a pain in the ass!! I have such a bad headache from the tension. So the boy plumber and his child sidekick (swear all these guys are like 12 years old!) put the tub in and we go look at it and there's a big chip in the tub. So we go uh that is not going to work so they had to take it out and I dunno wtf they are doing now but no way in hell am I putting a tub with a chip in it in my bathroom. It's HELL trying to keep James out of the way because he already wants to be one of the boys and carries around Erik's tape measure and pretends to measure things.
Erik's been home 4 days this week so at least he's here and sort of helping. No more effing remodels I don't care that my house is ghetto. They show up here at 7:55 this morning and I'm half dressed and very bitchy and yelling at Erik to stfu and let me get my coffee before he starts yapping at me. Seriously not a morning person and not a morning person with noise and fucking people in my house person.

Would anyone with IEP experience be willing to go over a letter I want to send to the rest of my daughter's IEP team? I got a draft in the mail that dramatically cuts her services and I'm finding myself having to go on the offensive a little more than I usually do.

IEP is Individualized Education Plan. It is the document that outlines the kid's strengths and weaknesses, discusses her diagnosis and the data that supports that conclusion, lays out her services and accommodations, and sets measurable, attainable goals for her educational progress.
So yeah, it's pretty important that everyone agrees to the IEP before we sign it. The people who have to agree are the IEP team - a school admin, a special educator, a general educator, any necessary therapists (speech, physical, psychological), the parents, and the student. If we can't reach an agreement on the IEP, it has to go to mediation, and then costly appeals. We've never had anything like this - usually we as parents just have some tweaks to the draft and we're good to go.

Actually would anyone be willing to look over my personal statement for grad school while we are at it? Grammar is not my strongest point, and this needs to be good. I've sent it to a couple professors as well, but with their busy schedules and AGU coming up I don't know if they'll get to it.

I look up to all your works, everybody here. I got into even attempting 3D because of Less's and Keth's Siggy threads over on EQ2's forums. Everybody needs to keep making arts so I can oogle over how wonderful your stuff is! hehe I strive to someday be as good as the rest of you, but I'm having fun just tinkering and learning. :) It's a fun hobby!
