Say Anything.
'Say Anything' is a John Cusak/Cameron Crowe 1989 teen flick. ' A noble underachiever and a beautiful valedictorian fall in love the summer before she goes off to college.' This is actually not what this thread is about, but the message is the same.
Actually no it isn't, I just like imdb.com and the title sounded interesting. /snort
This is not necessarily a vent thread - far from it. This is about saying anything - weather, the bird outside your work window, the fundamental differences between Mormons and catholics, how Law and Order Criminal Intent doesn't get the props it deserves, that I always forget whether it's 'it's' or 'its', that my daughter has a beautiful smile and the first guy that breaks her heart - I'm breaking his knees...it's about anything.
So, say anything.
I thought Angelina Jolie did a heck of a job in The Changeling.
Yeah, she did get that nomination. I dont know, it's a personal preference, I guess. =x
Anyway, I can totally see not digging it - I just thought she showed some impressive craftsmanship.
Plus those kinds of movies always get me screaming, and people in the theaters tend to get pissed off at me when I do that :P
=)
I sat down yesterday and read Midnight Sun (Edward's perspective) and totally enjoyed that more than Bella's point of view.
Did this get published, or are you reading online? I thought Meyer said she was never going to get it published, is why I'm asking...wondered if she changed her mind.
I'm proud of Catherine though. I wasn't reading near as much when I was her age.
=)
My daughter started reading at a very early age, and never stopped. I'm sure this is a huge reason why she did so well in school. :D Gratz to Catherine!
Id prolly not let him read the twilight series if I had read them first. The first couple are ok but the fourth one is terribly graphic and alot more sexy than the others, Bella being an adult and the whole sex thing not being dodged quite like it is in the other books. Hes 13 and all but Im nt in a hurry for him to go there.. I was only 4 years older than him when i got pregnant with him.
And besides, the whole birthing thing made me physically ill.. both times I read it. *shudder*
Good books but I think dawson can be 16 or so when he reads them.
Personally, I'm proud Catherine was mature enough to even finish a 400 page book. She likes to read and I like to talk with her about what she reads. Kind of sucks that I feel like have to justify it, not that I'm saying you are Lessa, I know you wouldn't imply that I would. =)
He literally lasted 10 seconds.
