Bathroom pictures...doesn't look like much yet. We were under the impression that our local Home Depot did not carry 60 inch vanity tops but we were wrong and so we decided on one large vanity instead of 2 small ones. But they aren't to that yet. They grouted the tile around the shower/tub today and put the little tiles on the floor. Tomorrow they want to grout the floor and I dunno what. But we went to Home Depot tonight after dinner and settled on what lights/vanity/fixtures we wanted. Anywhosit, here are the pictures I took after they left today.





I really hope they do get this finished by the end of the week because it's a real pain in the ass hauling James up and down the stairs everytime I gotta pee. :P

So Kami just came upstairs and says there's something on the wall and I licked it and it didn't taste good. I Say WHAT? Yeah there's something on the wall and I dunno it looked eatable so I licked it. WTF You don't eat things off the wall you eat things that come out of the fridge. So I go to what is on the wall....it's a blob of cortizon cream that James got into and smeared on the wall earlier. I wonder about her sometimes.....eating things blobbed on the wall like a 3 year old, I swear.

The bathroom is pretty much a big white box at this point and since we changed the plan on the vanity I am not 100% on the wall color choice now. I was going to put a light slate-y blue grey but I dunno how that would look since the top of the vanity is that Corian (sp?) stuff and it's got browns and creams in it but my god the rest of my house is one shade of brown or tan and I wanted a bit of subtle color :( Pewpew.

Sounds like you like earthy tones. hehe What about a dark green shade on the walls?

One thing I've learned from HGTV shows.. you can bring color into any room with accessories! LOL So even if the walls end up with a light color on them, you can still add color with towels, pictures, etc.

I grabbed 4 paint chips last night of colors I liked and about 15 minutes ago took them in the bathroom and looked at them in teh light of the bathroom to see what it MIGHT look like under the natural light and I think I have settled on a color called Cloudy Day. It's a bit more saturated in blue than I thought I would go with but I like it :) And yeah I am looking forward to buying new towels and all that more than anything....oh and taking a shower in something other than a closet sized shower stall.

I would so love to redo my shower/tub, especially since the shower head was put in for a family of little people, and I'm always hitting the back of my head on it! Maybe year after this :S

Trade you houses lol. They put the pipe in really high, Erik can barely touch it and he's really tall. I can never reach anything since I'm just over 5 feet. The only reason we're getting this crap done is because we aren't paying for it.

Yea...we had new floors put in throughout the house last year because our plumbing burst all over (Qest pipes ftw! :P) and didn't have to pay for it. (We did have to replace all the plumbing though :P) Unfortunately the piping to my shower/bath could be replaced through the other side of the wall, so they didn't need to replace the bath itself :( LOL its always better when someone else forks over the money ;)

Erik's an only child and I guess his parents must have money lying around or something because they are paying for this. Really I didn't mind the bathroom up here although it was not very functional. The water here has alot of calcium in it and so the tub wouldn't drain right and lol they people put a shower head in the bathroom but it wasn't hooked into anything so there was no shower and no one would use the tub because it was gross. I would have rather had the carpet replaced really but Erik's dad just hired some one and he showed up and so Erik just went with it over my protests. I don't really want to take their money because they've been really mean to me and I want them to go fuck off lol but I let Erik make the decision about the bathroom and asked I be kept out of it as much as possible.

The LAST gift I was waiting for finally showed up today via FedEx :cheer I was getting nervous, because the last time I tracked it it was sitting in a facility down where they had snow up to their asses. And it's Jen's "big" gift this year (excepting the Heritage Tour), an acoustic guitar. :)

...now to wrap. Oy. :roll:

So about a month ago we were told the office was closing from 12/24 - 1/4/10...without pay. Of course if you have vacation time they'd let you take it (and fortunately I do), but with only a month's notice it wasn't like a lot could be planned. I was pissed initially, but now that it's here I'm excited! Today is my Friday and I'm off work for the next twelve days!!! WOOT!

Making peppermint bark with Cat and her bff Emily. They're unwrapping the peppermints and we crushed them in a bag. Mike got waaay to into the crushing. It's sitting in the fridge now.

Nice Jet! I have the bamboo tablet as well. Had it for like a year now and think I've used, umm...no more than 5 times. LOL It's not that I don't like it, I do... but my little desk just isn't big enough for all my gadgets.

Oh thats what I should do.. go use my Xmas money and buy a bigger desk!!
