This is not necessarily a vent thread - far from it. This is about saying anything - weather, the bird outside your work window, the fundamental differences between Mormons and catholics, how Law and Order Criminal Intent doesn't get the props it deserves, that I always forget whether it's 'it's' or 'its', that my daughter has a beautiful smile and the first guy that breaks her heart - I'm breaking his knees...it's about anything.

My book is in Gillette! It's been out for delivery since 6 am...UPS needs to hurry up! I know they won't drop it off til later I see them come around the neighborhood every day around the same time. I'm trying to be patient.

LoL /hides Amazon box under desk and whistles innocently.... They really do need to hurry up for ya tho. I didn't even order it til I saw you post about it yesterday and we got it already this morn. Course I still need to read Turncoat, but I couldn't pass up the hard cover for 10 bucks.

Well that sucks pretty hard lol. I ordered it over a month ago lol. Turncoat was very good I've read it a few times. The ending sucks!!! I hope Jim Butcher makes it all better in this book. Damn it needs to come now! I just put Jamie down for a nap so I have me time.

A lot of the negative reviews are undoubtedly shit like "I ordered one and it got lost in the mail", because people are so fucking stupid they think that this somehow relates to the product itself.

DA is getting really lame. Some one has a picture of a squirrel I was going to fave it but the guy has some sticker that says "If you fave this comment and tell me what you liked about it" ... I've seen this around there a bit with these "don't fave and run" stickers. Sort of getting on my nerves. I fave, I run. People do it to me all the time and I don't give a shit....why are other people all butt hurt over it.

I don't think Lessa has a Kindle but Lill does and loves it. I just like the feel of a real book too much myself. I stare at a screen too much to wanna do it while I'm reading a book, too, even if is is all non-glare and groovy LoL

Ya I lubs my Kindle. I love not having to wait for my books in the mail, and new releases are pretty much always much cheaper on kindle (9.99 vs 30 bucks or so) And it's not really like looking at a screen at all, it looks a lot more like paper and ink than a computer screen, so its pretty easy on the eyes.

I have a Kindle, and I love it.
Aside from the free books, 9.99 new releases and instant delivery. ( being 60 miles from a book store its all great) I forget that Im reading an electronic device. ( even to the point where ive tried to turn the page a few times hehe )
Ive got the first edition. I got it as a gift not long before K2 came out. I think David told me though that K2 has an integrated battery and no sd slot ( or soemthing, ) so K1 suits me fine, even if its a tad bit thicker. ( its still thinner than most of my paperbacks)
The battery charges fairly quick..and itll last for a couple of days without having to be recharged if you dont have it online.
they dont use a wifi connection, they use a cell signal, so you can access amazon anywhere.

I read that the kindle1 was better than the kindle2, for the most part. K2 doesn't have portable storage, the screen seems to fade out under bright bright lights, and it's a serious bitch to transfer your files from k1 to k2, that's if you remember to back up on your computer.

My sister in law has a Nook, and David is trying to convince me to sell mine and get a nook too ( which i really would rathe rnot) because then I can trade books with her. As in she buys a book and I can "borrow it" for two weeks, where it would be on mine and then goes away.
I like having my own library though and dont wanna give up what Ive got. I also dont care if my covers are in color or not.. I dont look at them when Im reading.. only really need covers for the hard copys hehe.
