Dragon Age: Origins

I must have broken something with this game using the console commands.

1.) I barely said one word to Leliana, and she fell in love with me. I broke up with her, and she fell in love with me AGAIN.
2.) Morrigan apparently broke up with me without letting me know. I got to Denerim for the Landsmeet, and the way she talks to me changed.
3.) Alistair... calls me "My love"...
4.) Wynn keeps hitting on Alistair, but I suspect that's just cause she's a dirty old woman, and has nothing to do with me.

I made an evil mage - I just have so much more fun with mages. I was thinking of trying a bloodmage/arcane warrior with death magic and death syphon - I'm thinking with being much harder to hit, having the small mana pool/fatigue but increased regen, and then having the mana regen/health regen from corpses I'll be a machine. Has anyone tried this combo?

So far at low levels the death syphon is insane - I just corpse bomb stuff then blast it with everything I have and the piling up of corpses keeps my mana up - I use the other parties members as fodder :D

Appears you can't run both at once - they should have made that clear before I choose the two lines

Return to Ostagar has a great set of massive armor.. better than the Warden Commander set from Warden's Keep for tanks, imo. Also a nice dagger, and, if you never got the key from the prisoner there, you can supposedly pick it up off the ground and open the mage's chest to get a nice-looking staff. If you already opened the thing like me, you're screwed, and have to sit there looking at a sparkly chest that won't open.

These items (Cailan's armor set, shield, Maric's sword, Duncan's sword/dagger, and the staff) are like the Warden's Keep items, or generic items like "Dagger" or "Longsword", in that they can be upgraded by selling them to the vendors in Warden's Keep, leaving, and returning. They scale with your level.

Just did Return to Ostagar - by far the best DL, about three times as long as the others and only 5 bucks. The items are kickass

I was pleasantly surprised to find Duncan's daggers on the ogre at Ostagar, lorewise. Actually returning to Ostagar was bittersweet, and man did it seem like the darkspawn were neverending.

I was in the process of making Leliana an archer, but finding Duncan's weapons changed all of that.

What the what? Where's Duncan's weapon?

There are things I don't understand about armor.

Ancient Elven Armor... why use it (aside from the fact that it looks awesome without the helmet on)? The stats aren't very great, and the set bonus is added defense. Why would you want defense on a leather-wearing character? I always aim for the set bonuses that reduce fatigue.

DPS warriors with heavy or medium armor... why? Why not just wear leather? I'm playing a dual wield warrior right now, and I have every intention of using the heaviest armor I can get... but I had to debate with myself which was going to be a better choice. Maybe this one is just personal preference, but I'd like to hear an opposing viewpoint. I figure if you're going to wear something heavier than leather, you might as well go all the way. And yes, I know that enemies go after whoever has the heaviest armor on, but so far (on my previous two playthroughs, with, granted, only one plate wearer), I've never had any aggro issues once Alistair gets Taunt. His Templar aoe stun ability works whenever Taunt isn't enough.

Wade's Drake________ / Dragon_______ Armor... does anybody use this for anything other than killing a dragon? Maybe it's because I'm playing on "Normal" setting that I haven't seen a need for these things. I stack Alistair with items like that ring with +20% all resists, and The Spellward, and call it a day. If I *really* needed more resists, I think I'd just use the Juggernaut set. What am I missing?

I figured it would be there, but I didn't know you could even go back there.
