ROUND 6 - OOC dicussion

Well if we're only going to get help if we lynch her I don't see what we have to lose. She's either mafia, or we get IDs that may or may not be true.

I don't take anyone's playing style personally at this point -- they're all tactics in a well-defined arena, so they are valid. I will say this though: I will never forget this game!

So before this devolves into Lord of the Flies, more thoughts:



Okay…there has been a theme of thoughtfulness in these mafia hits, and now this. Does this mean we were on the wrong track with that whole line of…thought?




Between these two items and the hit itself, there seems to be some sort of oral fixation happening here O_O.

And finally – the only action we actually get to witness from the mafia is one member sticking their hand in the elevator doors. There’s been mention of hands and fingers throughout – what are we supposed to be noticing that we’re not?

Thats what I was thinking too. I made a list a couple pages back about who had food, food references, etc... might be worth checking into.

In combing bios for food references to peer review Nicole's list, this caught my eye:

I don't know how I missed this before - Greywood, I apologize for thinking you were the only character left with a drug reference in their bio. It really was an honest mistake. I still find your drug connection more compelling than Nicole's, but I should not have exaggerated and said you were the only one left with a drug reference.

*thinks* so what do all these oral references actually mean? Things being shoved down people's throats, swallowing, mention of 'feeding'...I don't know, is food actually at the heart of this? Keep in mind the one who choked on actual food was a serial kill victim, not mafia. I don't think it's referring to smoking - maybe being overweight? Or hungry? Or chewing on gum or tobacco?

I don't know, at the same time I admit to being wrong about Greywood, I think I might be right about it referring to Spence force-feeding his girlfriend a bottle of tequila.

These just seem so weak to me - we've had much stronger clues that ended up lynching townies - maybe the gaping mouth line

Dollar bills shoved in the mouth in Round 3
Murder at the snack bar in Round 1
Dish wand protruding from the mouth in Round 1

That's all I found in other kills. Still, though, three of the kills involve at some point forcefully shoving something into the victim's mouth.

I guess that is true - a lot of those clues I thought pointed at Boris are now open

That is why I went through and posted everything from bios I thought could be referencing that clue... I'll post it again.


-Shutupsara has a half-eaten bagel
-Vulash has gum
-Wystro has a grocery list (this is probably stretching it)
-Pharren has Breath Savers
-Verileah has a meal bar, gum, mints, bottle of water, and obviously the meal she's bringing her dad
-Gongaa has the steel spatula (although a food ref, I'm not sure this fits as well but mentioned it anyway)
-Greywood mentions tequila

If anyone thinks there is anything else, or wants to add, by all means go ahead. Also, if you find any for the people I didn't think had any, feel free to change... I just thought this could be a good jumping off point.

Well, I read it again finally, and only found one thing that I don't think has been mentioned before (and is most likely meaningless, hence why nobody has mentioned it yet):



I suppose he was just transfixed by the horror of the mob's actions, and the movement of cutting down the body snapped him out of his grim reverie?

He pulled out of that 'grim reverie' twice in that scene iirc...what do you think it means?

Could this be a hint toward someone, not so much thoughtful, but spacey or dreamy?

I have no idea. I just thought it was a curious reaction, and was trying to think of a scenario in which it wasn't strange. My first response to it was simply, "That's weird. Why didn't he look away before they cut the body down?".

I see your posts, but I have nothing to add. I've run into a brick wall with this kill. :shrug

Ksagag, I see your posts - I specifically mentioned that I looked over your list and looked for more stuff in that vein, then talked about how I don't think this is necessarily pointing toward food as a clue because it's not so much a food/cooking/eating thing as a shoving down the throat thing.

Maybe my brain is getting burnt-out. I saw your posts Verileah, but must have misread them. I thought you were stating pretty much everything I already said. That's why I thought it was odd, but now that you say that I look back I realized I'm the one who's confused... lol. Sorry everyone. I told you this game is eating my brain...
